If you let an Assassin get 40 kills you deserve to get oneshot constantly just like if you get an ADC 40 kills you deserve to get shredded or if you get a juggernaut 40 kills you deserve to get run down.
had a rengar one game the only way our team wouldn't get decimated by him every time is to spam exhaust on him within the second you see him. same as your game, it was rough, but he eventually became useless. not too long of a c/d on exhaust. as a support i pretty much always hold onto the exhaust for assassins if they are in the game..past laning phase anyways. it's basically the I-win button.
You cant make serious commentary on a game where you were -4 levels to the enemy's assassin. It says nothing about how balanced a champion is to evaluate them under those circumstances. But only highlights how bad your team was to get snowballed on so hard. You dont need Rengar to achieve that if youre facing bad players.
All this thread does is highlight your own ignorance about the power of level advantages. Thay ignorance is no doubt a big factor in why you get slapped around so easily.

Yeah, that's what happens when a enemy gets 42 kills within 36 mins and is 3 level higher than you, 2 more items, and god knows how many stacks if they're running that one keystone. So yeah, the fed assassin is going to assassinate you, that's how they work. This could have all been prevented if your team played right or had a decent comp. I mainly blame you for him being such a threat. There's a reason tank support was meta for 5 seasons on end. You're support supposed to be the CC of the team, you should be the one locking this Rengar down as CC is an assassins biggest counter. However, you choose to go lux, which looking at the score of your adc, didn't go that well.
Side note, this is how assassins are and always will be. Most of their kits lack depth and complexity, so they either one shot you, or their damage is non-existent. I don't see you coming and making posts about how the enemy Rengar didn't get any kills early so he just dived and got deleted every team fight. Making it a easy 4v5, because he gets fed just as often as he is useless. Therefore, don't come whining to the boards about a champion when you feed him 42 kills.
Ok now tell me how you guys played terribly and gave him a lead. Or are we going to leave that out and act like he was just magically "one shotting" everyone since lvl 10.

tbh i find a good lb much more threatening...especially now that she's reverted. can and will gank you just as much. doesn't necessarily need any preparation, can w r q e kill you from a screen away in a second, and come back for more. i think she's a hell of a lot better of an assassin than rengar, she just can't jg. maybe i'm biased cuz i just play her and not rengar.
The thing is he needs to be this strong becasue riot refuses to give him an early game. When they removed his ability to stack ferocity they took away any decision making in his early game. When they reverted him and he was struggling to be relevant they prefered to buff his damage instead of giving him any possibility to be relevent early game without it.

My biggest issue right now with assassins is how easy electrocute makes getting early leads.
So he obviously got super fed early game yet nobody except Zed got any armor at all...
You fed him, so you had to deal with it. Actions have consequences. You simply got wrecked, happens, move on with life.
