you know what grinds my gears?

"fun" in ranked.

theres this whole idea where people believe this specific idea of fun exists in ranked games, and its so irritating.

now let me explain this idea of "fun" that some players have. its not "enjoying a ranked game" , its that but adding more of a layed back feeling and not giving a care in the world to improve in the game, its also used as an excuse when your tilted or just straight up inting.

and im not saying you are banned from having any fun at all, you can play seriously and competitively and get a fun experience out of it.

but this kind of fun im talking about, destroys any kind of competitiveness for serious solo que players in their games. picking off meta for "fun", playing like shit, "for" fun is entirely different then playing seriously with off meta or having a bad game.

i'm trying to climb the ladder and get better at this game, and others are too. but this is also a team game, and of course no everyones play styles will match but having fun vs looking for improvement/competitiveness destroys the balance.
