I just q'd up for ranked and got matched with a trio q. 10 minutes in all 3 of them afk for 5 minutes and the other team had pushed up to out inhib towers since there was nothing we could do to stop them. They came back for about 3 minutes then afkd again until the enemy got into our base. Of course they didn't want to surender so we wasted more time of the enemy farming them for kills. Much fun in this season so far.
Buddy I am sorry for your frustration. I promise you are not alone. Statistically at least 10-15% of your games will have a flamer, or someone who just ruins the experience for their team. This kind of thing with toxic, flaming, trolling,... etc. all of these things that lead to bad experiences for everyone have been around since League of Legend's inception.
The truth is they are not going away. Riot for years has refused to make any meaningful or noticeable changes to they huge negative parts of the game. Every now and then you will see some statistic from Riot about how they are beating toxic players in League. The truth is Riot uses such an extreme definition of what counts as a toxic player. They say they have turned around toxic players. They dont count people as toxic players on a game by game basis. They only track toxic players as people who are toxic in virtually every game. In almost every single game of league of legends there is a toxic player either on your team or the others. Riot does nothing to combat this. This means that in virtually every league of legends game there is toxicity.
The ugly truth is Riot never has implemented any way of actually fighting all of this negativity because to do so would reduce their player base and thus potential revenue. The even uglier truth is Riot has recently completely sold the company to Tencent. A Chinese company who definitely doesn't care about the players happiness. Just that we play.
What all this means is if Riot in the previous what 8 years? Has not done anything significant to solve this problem. They absolutely will not now. Your experience is something everyone deals with and will continue to do so. Riot does not care, there are plenty of delusional Riot fans who think they are good. They are kids who have been caught up in the marketing genius of Riot.
