I'm kind of sick of these first time bards or first time picks in general. In ranked, we want to win and first-time champion players really hinder that. With the new champion mastery system currently out, i would like rito to make it so that if you want to play the champ in ranked, it at least has to be level 1.

i do get what you're saying, but what the problem lies with is the player themselves rather than their experience or skill level.

I agree with this so much.
Sometimes your team needs a certain type of champion, which is why I understand the number of champions requirement. You may not be very experienced with that champion, but if your team needs someone like that for their comp, then you should weigh the pros and cons.
I also want to point out that champion mastery in no way means you're good or that you mastered that champion. It just means you won a certain amount of games, and that's why it's flawed.
