Yuumi Buff Idea

Hey guys, first forum post, forgive any mistakes.

I’ve been playing Yuumi since she first came out and while it’s a struggle to play her well, I really think she’s a pretty decent character. Well, she has very decent potential to be a very decent character. I think the state she’s in right now is not very good. She’s very weak, I personally feel her heal is very lacking compared to other supports like Soraka, and her viability either falls off very hard early game or barely sticks around to late game.

So, here are some buff ideas I’ve had while playing Yuumi;

(I’m not exactly the smartest when it comes to this kinda stuff so please forgive me)

Q: While unattached, make the empowered form of the ability start way earlier. It feels very hard to correctly aim the skillshot while unattached if I’m barely going to do any damage or slow in the long run. I always try to hit it empowered, but that barely procs before it disappears. This, of course, wouldn’t apply to the ability while attached, I just thinking having an empowered Q for unattached kiting would be very useful.

W: This is just a weird idea, but I think to support the idea of Yuumi hopping off to proc her passive and then hopping back on, I’m thinking that if your passive is ready but W is on full cooldown; hitting an enemy champion should lower W’s cooldown. Again, just a weird idea, not very sure about this one. I also think the range of it should be increased, as I feel many ADCs don’t understand how small it is and abandon Yuumis when they’re very easy to save.

E: To me, her healing feels very weak all throughout the game. From early to late game, I feel like Yuumi attaching on to heal should do more to save them than just give them barely anything. So, I think it should be buffed overall, or made to scale much harder with leveling.

R: Here we go. Maaaany people I’ve played with say this is one of Yuumi’s most worthless qualities. While, yes, the root is nice, it barely holds and the “damage” she produces is sad. Also, people don’t usually realize she’s ulting, so they usually move away from the fight. So here’s my idea: Ulting automatically procs her passive and it stacks on every enemy hit on the first wave. This can help out when you’re ulting ally champs with barely any health for escapes, when allies are nervous about going in, and it encourages Yuumi hitting as many people as she can with the first wave. Maybe that shield goes away a little bit after the ult ends, idk. Next, the waves themselves. Maybe increase in damage with each wave? Maybe up the damage overall? I don’t know, just something to make it feel less meh.

I really like Yuumi as a support champ, and I’ve had good games with her, but I really think she needs changes to make her just a tad bit more viable.

What do you guys think? Let me know. Also, again, first forum post, don’t bully me too hard.

Yuumi shouldn't get buffed again. They actually have to wait for people to master her and then look how strong she turns out in this case.

Playing her correctly is way harder than people think and if she is played well, she is in my opinion a really strong champion. Buffing her again would probably just force them to nerf her again later on.

item 3174 . Large power spike. Makes her E heal considerably stronger.

Q. Is ment to be a bit weaker unattatched. Id stick to using it to check a bush. You really don't want to facecheck bushes with yuumi.

W. You already want to hop off and trigger passive. You just need to wait for the CD to be off first. Just a matter of controlling impulses to maintain CDs.

E. E heal is weak till you get a grail. Shes not ment to be a spammy healer, the kits made for burst healing on a pressured target. The low hp values function ok with her kit overall for self heal.I will talk about this in a moment.

R is a fantastic utility spell but your going to have to be willing to hop off and keep aim on point as teammates might not be used to the mechanic. Frequently its better to not run in a straight line but detatch and move so the snare triggers and teammates can beeline at the target. them trying to reaim can delay their gap close.

Overall I think Yuumi is in a strong place at the moment.

The thing folks need to learn is detached mechanics. You need to make some trade pressure in lane by Using passive and autos. Body blocking with yuumi is important in early game. You wont die to a single hit + your low hp makes your E heal more effective as self heal. It mitigates more damage then allied casts because your % of hp drops faster off the same Damage values. Lower % results in higher Heal values. Same damage taken same ability but better healing on self in early game and lane. You can also hop onto your teammate and chugg a potion.
