Banning in ARAM

I’m curious to see what other players think of them having a banning phase in the game mode ARAM. Just a reminder (all random all middle) the very name of the game says that the champion you are going to play is random, so why do they allow people to ban champions? Doesn’t that make it not random, but targeted? Technically, if a group played together, and they each had 1 champ they played, banning the 5 other free to play champs of that week would allow that team to get all 5 champs that they played with. That’s hardly random.

The majority of the community in aram likes the bans, because the majority of the aram community know how oppressive picks like lux/ziggs/sona are. These oppressive picks were abused by people making new accounts and only buying those champions that had oppressive 65-70% win rates.

Also, the title of aram, all random all middle. It's still all random. The title doesnt say, all champions must be available, all random all mid.

The available champion pool in aram was extended to the last 3 free rotation champions a long time ago, not just the current free champions.

Personally I've found it more useful to ban champions I _don't _ want to play so there's no chance I can get them. I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other though about them adding bans to the game mode, but I think balancing it and opening all champions as possible picks is a better route than introducing bans.

Let me say this, loud and clear.

If you guys like banning in aram - you are bunch of sissies. The whole point of aram is for you to get random champs whatever they may be... ability of banning decent ones just breaks that away. You should be ashamed of yourself to even use that system.

There are 2 ways to make aram fair

A) Enable all champs to all people b) let everyone limit their champ roster to what they feel like

If neither of those are done, Bans are 100% necessary.

I couldn't really call it that random since I'm getting so mich of Thresh, Pyke and Quinn. I know all of those champions where in free champion rotation, but still they are the only champions l see in ARAM non stop. If you call that random, I don't.

The bans are great because now when a team loses, you can't blame the other team's "OP champions". Five bans is enough for this format

Ban the boring free to play champs. Stop banning the fun champs. If you cant side step a skillshot that is on you, stop taking Lux/Blitz, etc out of games

Its great, never seeing Pyke Heimerdinger Veigar MasterYi makes the gamemode actually fun

I perma ban MasterYi ... i've never played him in an ARAM and did not get a penta...in fact last time I got two of them.

i don't ban any champ in ARAM. classic ARAM is not suppose to have bans and that will not change all because ARAM is now Butcher's Bridge instead of Howling Abyss.

It's not really as random as you think, as with increase reroll numbers, you could potentially pick any one of 15 champs anyway. People will pick and choose from the champ bin to get a good team. Since the bin was added I'm sure I've gone up against more poke teams than ever before. Bans are just cancelling that out a bit.
