So my question is why is Ranked Solo/Duo queue out now? Before season started again. And will our Ranked stats for Ranked Flex and Ranked Solo/Duo queue be reset before the new season starts?

So my buddy made gold 5 last season while i was stuck in silver, we duo'd a lot in season 6. Then in Season 7 i get placed bronze and he gets placed bronze, we were unable to duo in placements and even after he was placed bronze we are still unable to duo. It says that we are unable to duo due to the difference in higher rank.
