Playing Defensively

I have noticed more and more that it seems people do not understand that playing defensively IS and option, and should be done when things are not going well. For example, I played a match were we had a Yas top going into Aatrox. Yas kept dying to him and the enemy jungler (Udyr) over and over. Our jungler tried to help but ended up feeding the udyr and aatrox too. My team kept asking the Yas to play defense, back off and just farm by the tower but he just kept going balls to the wall and giving more kills. As the game went on the Yas and our Lee kept chasing kills all over the map, usually resulting in them dying yet again. If they would have played on the defense, we could have been ok. We had a teemo support and played defense with me (I was swain) and were were getting stronger and if all of the team had done the same, we probably could have turned things around. That is just one game's example, but I see it all the time. It is OK to not be aggressive, and needed when you are struggling. Continuing to charge off and die doesn't help you or your team. Idk just a bit frustrated from seeing this happen so often. /rant
