how does chat restriction work

i never get reported... i get reporetd about maybe a most 1-2 times a week im very nice! me and my friends were all playing last night and i wake up this morning and im chat restricted for 46 games and cant play ranked for 28!!!!!! how does this happen! i played 3 games that day with my friends thats it!!!!
