LP lost after reconnecting

Recently I have discovered that if you disconnect and then reconnect shortly, you still lose LP in a ranked game even if your team has won. I've read on multiple posts where riot employees say this is because it still caused a bad experience for the team, therefore you are not eligible for the win but even worse, penalized for reconnecting and helping your team to victory. In my opinion as a player this system is incredibly unbalanced. It basically suggests the disconnected player to AFK, I mean what's the point in reconnecting right? Riot has done an incredible job at reforming toxic players and making the community overall a much more friendly place, however this system is a step backwards and not forward towards a better League of Legends.

A bad experience is a missing teammate, not a returning one that contributes to the teams victory.
