I was wondering how I beat a Jayce Top lane as Darius or any slow champion... I keep getting kited and can't even farm properly and end up feeding kills. When I stick to my turret he just continues to poke me until I'm low enough and then moves in for the kill. I've been told Darius counters Jayce but I seriously have no idea how to play against him. Any tips would be appreciated.
who told you darius counters jayce? darius's main weakness is getting kited which automatically means he loses to ranged champs, not to mention jayce has self peel and mobility
You don't have to kill anyone in order to win lane. Different champions have different objectives when it comes to the lane phase. In this situation you would want to farm up safely near your turret and wait either for ganks or for Jayce to get impatient and make a mistake. If neither happen you just keep farming and turn into a mid/late game power house.
Just work on your ability to freeze the lane and you'll be fine.
who ever told you that darius counters jayce was either an idiot, or only faced really, really bad Jayces. Garens weakness is getting kited and poked, Jayce strength is poke and kiteing a single target. Jayce is one of the hardest counters to Darius, where is not much you can do rather than starting flask+post and geting early armor and alot potions, trying to pick up as much cs and mostly xp as ypou can while backing in time befor your so low that he can dive you.
this is gonna sound like dumb advice but just kill him
if u sit there and let him auto you then ur gonna lose but if u man up and land an e he will die jayce is really squishy and if he builds tear first its even easier
