Why is trying out champions on ranked and instantly locking them without any experience not punished

This has been the number one problem with the game for me for years now and the thing bothering me more than any other by far.

So basically 9 people join a ranked game determined to win and give their best where 1 guy ( usually more )

-has just bought a champion and want to try it for fun ON RANKED -knows he has no idea how to play champion X he picked and still picks it

Now the problem here is that this guy with no experience or skill with the champion he took, will either die uncotrolably or just won't be of any use for his team and will not do what the champion he took is made to do.

There you see how 1 player ruins the game of 4 ( 5 percent manages to win but that's irrelavent ).

Now I'm not saying the system is flawd because the chances of that player or player being in your or enemies team is the same so you'll most likely get the same amount of those players with or against you. However he still destroys the quality of a game that people are giving time to play because of his selfishness

Solution is a rather simple 25 normal games trial with a champion before using it on ranked and NO,you can't learn to play a champion or come even close to mastering it in 25 games but it gives you some glymphs of how he is played. Lastly just going to say that if you played a champion once and did good in a game doesn't mean you know how to play the champion, not at all.

Your idea destroys draft. I can no longer pick MF to trade with my last pick ADC because I don't play her.

I agree with you. I do, however, want to see what happens in the LCS with his idea implemented. No trades, you have to sit in the order you're picking. What strategy would they use? One does wonder.....

because it's not against the rules nor will it ever be

The problem with requiring champion experience is that people that are not new to the game but are leveling a new account often just want to go straight into ranked but if they required another grind for each champion they wanted to play in ranked on top of the grind to level 30 that would be insane.

honestly it shouldnt matter if he has used them or not suck it up and try to win

this is a stupid idea. Don't be that guy. Also 1st time i played volibear i got a pentakill so no your flawed.

Because being forced to play normals would be horrible.

A) that idea is horrendous and stupid in it of itself

B) Do you not understand how fucking long that would take? it would take you OVER 3000 games to be able to play any champion you want in ranked. If you wanted to play even ONE champion it would take you over 40 games because you're not guaranteed to get the role you want, unless you autolocked like a douchebag and a hypocrite like the title states

C) Literal FIRST time I ever played olaf in a match on SR (and was ranked, only played him twice before in ARAM) I went 18/2/5 and facerolled people. Your argument is literally invalid. You don't do that in a match if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing.

D) Idea is completely unfair to people who play a lot of ARAM or people who had to make new accounts for whatever reason

E) The match isn't really over until it's over. Instead of whining about it, why not help them or give them tips instead?

So it's against what rule to be bad at x champion?[slayer-jinx-unamused]

What if I told you I can get a new champion down in 10 minutes of a custom game alone?

"How", you ask? Because I have experience with 70% of champions in this game, so doesn't matter what Rito throws at me, it is still easy. (Unless it's bugged as fuck. Hello, release Azir.)

Also, they are getting punished. They lose a ranked game and their ELO.

25 games? Are you insane? One custom game is more than enough to get used to a champion's mechanics.
