Sivir spell shield under rewarding

As is stands Sivir's spell shield is grossly under rewarding when in a defensive manner. According to the wiki Sivir's spell shield should "BLOCK" the first incoming spell that it interacts with. Using this terminology it should function similar to Yasuo's Windwall ability that also "BLOCKS" an incoming projectile as well as Braum's "unbreakbale" ability, however in the case of windwall and unbreakable the projectile disappears from the map while the same projectile would merely not damage Sivir but is still present for after effects. For example Jinx's ultimate ability will still detonate on spell shield and issue splash damage to nearby allies, Fiddlesticks' "dark wind" (E) ability will still bounce, Soraka's "Starcall" ability will still heal her, and Bard's "cosmic binding" will still stun despite being blocked by spell shield. Why doesn't Spell shield completely consume these spells and negate the after effects and reward the player for timing the ability correctly and skillfully?

This is why I want a rework for her, it seems when they made the code for Spell Shied they were not thinking ahead of skills that have 2 parts. I.E Roka Q Blocks the dmg, gives you mana but doesnt block her heal. Same goes for bard, blocks the dmg gives you mana but you cant shield the back so you get stunned.

Its interaction with Nami, Brand and Fid is exceptionally weird. Because your spellshield doesn't count as the spell hitting you, I can as Nami bounce my heal off your shield, heal myself, and still hit you with the 3rd bounce.

Brand and Fid are the same: if you block Fid's E, it can bounce to a minion and right back to you, because it hasn't registered hitting you as a target. Obviously, it will work better if he's draining you, but even without the drain, it's like that. Brand's is the same.

Yep I've seen this a few times, like I said I dont think they had multi-part spells in mind when they made Sivir, tho her and Fid where released the same time, but now you see him in the sup role vs the jg. Honestly Fid's interaction may not be apart of the case since the birds are supposed to bounce 1 bird=One Spell Shield, if it bounces back then OH WELL. Honestly could be the same for Nami since she has a bounce.

That's the thing though, spell shielding should absorb the spell entirely and wipe it from the map like windwall especially if it uses the same terminology in the wiki. a wall of wind that lasts a couple seconds shouldn't be a better spell "shield" than an actual spell shield thats intended to block 1 single ability.

Thats what I'm saying it SHOULD block all parts of a spell Like Bards, Roka etc, the only exception to that may be spells that bounce I.E Fid's E since it bounces to multi targets. As skills advance in the game with multi-passives etc her Spell Shield is just outdated.

Better would be to extend the duration and allow it to block multiple spells. Make it last for 4 seconds and then it's worth putting a point in.

4 seconds of being totally unaffected by any ability in the game... You didn't really think this through, did you? She would be absolutely busted beyond earth after such a change.

You're basically asking Sivir to have Morg's Black shield.. Which to balance it out would mean she doesnt get mana off used spells. And everyone knows sivir mana pool is awful.

Wrong, they would still be very different abilities. You did NOT think that through. Or if you think that Black shield and Sivir's spell shield have the same duration or functionality, cooldowns, costs, that black shield restores mana or that sivir can spell shield allied champions then you should reconsider discussion balance on a board full of people who are more familiar with the game...

Actually I did, let me break it down for you since you seemed to miss the point here. You said " Make it 4 secs" which the other skill in game that is longer is Morg's black shield Here just so you understand -Places a shield around target friendly champion, absorbing the next 70 / 140 / 210 / 280 / 350 (+70% of ability power) magic damage the unit would take. While active, Black Shield prevents the application of all disables. Lasts 5 seconds or until the shield has been depleted.- I never said that Sivir would have the ability to place it on others, I was stating that what you are suggest is very similar to Morg's and if they were to implement such a thing to sivir's kit they would have to remove the mana refund. Which would hurt her unless they increase her mana pool. "Oh but they dont function the same way" If you add 2.5 secs to the duration to Sivir's then, yeah they do. With the added bonus of -Mana refuned perskill used on said shield- Remove mana refund and bam you have Morg's. If you fail to see then then I honestly dont know how you see the game.

Since it went over your head Morg's black shield can be cast on somebody who is taking magic damage over time effects like Teemo's Shrooms or brand's passive, this version of Sivir's shield still wouldn't do anything to help that. It just negates many abilities, it actually doesn't have a damage shield component. Ardent and all that? You guessed it! Won't work. And let's not forget that she can't even cast it on an ally. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and say "You got me troll you, nice bait" cuz some of your claims are transcending unreasonable and really pushing dumb.

Once again I never stated they would behave the same way I'm stating if you add 2.5 secs to her duration it would act SIMILAR to Morg's. What is one thing Morg's shield does? "Shield prevents the application of all disables" DING DING DING. Once again I never stated they behave the same way BUT add 2.5 to the duration in that aspect it would behave the same way. BUT I guess you dont understand that since you're probably never alive long enough as Morg to see that function.

Ok, now I see you didn't even read the post. I didn't just say to add 2.5 seconds to the duration, I also said that sivir should block ALL spells for that duration, not just the first. Now before you get a tude with me, young man, humble up and learn something. It's for your own good (:

Oh I read it I just dont think you understand what you're saying or even reading what Im saying SO let me quote you on this "I also said that sivir should block ALL spells for that duration, not just the first" THAT in it's self is Morg's black shield minus the block of magic DoTs. Discussion over, you played yourself. And I assure you I am no "young man", it's rude to assume ones age and gender when you're trying to insult someone because you're to dense to see what you're saying, making your argument dull and void. And before you get your panties in a wad let me once again break it down for you. Adding 2.5 secs to sivir's spell shield which would make it 4 secs in duration...that blocks all SPELLS for that duration is one second short of Morg's Black shield MINUS the DoT and adding regain Mana like her basic. HENCE they behave the same. You honestly cant twist this anymore. Have a Nice Day :D

Trundle pillar, Anivia wall, Yoricks ring, yes, spells which create terrain would be able to catch her.

Rumbles equilizer would actually not work against her. It gets negated from her spellshield as far as I know and with 4 seconds duration she could keep standing in it for 4 seconds while auto attacking unharmed from it.

4 seconds spellshield would make her completely immune against mages in this game for the duration. And yes, Kayles ult is fine because it is actually an ultimate.... What you are suggesting here is a spell with ultimate level of power on a regular ability.

Spellshield as it is right now, with just the ability to deny a single spell, is already fairly good as a spell. Having a 4 seconds duration just overtunes it too much. Not to mention that Sivir is already really strong right now. Giving her such a massive buff like you are suggesting here would make her winrate skyrocket to something like 75%.

On a side note: I didn't mean to disrespect you, I am sorry if it looked like that for you. But I sincerely can't support this suggestion, it would break the game in my opinion.
