puts players in urf mode while giving them really good base stats on the item alone. Essence reaver was already primarily used by bruisers because they had the best kits with it. Spear of Shojin is gonna make champs like Jax (who could already abuse the item because it made counter strike stay up and gave him more attack speed) and Renekton (good with all his abilities. Now that its a bruiser item champs who could already abuse it are gonna be more or less unstoppable.

I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH I HAVEN'T PLAYED AGAINST IT IN GAME YET

It is trash design and will only be good on jax renekton fiora and riven other bruisers wont care for the item idk why riot is forcing essence flare into the game

idk what the big deal is about this spear item, it doesn't seem that creative.. It gives attack speed, standard damage, cool down, and hardly any hp...

Basically you could just buy your attack speed boots, and the black cleaver although this spear item goes without having the armor damage that black cleaver does... So the boots and black cleaver are better.

Also if there is a bonus called something cool like: Awakened Dragon.. Shouldn't there be some sort of dragon animation or at least a dragon similarity?? Like if I made a bonus item characteristic ability with the aim of reflecting an awakened dragon... perhaps it would give your character a brief flash of wings that could make you do a sort of spear thrust similarity (perhaps just a prolonged auto attack animation where auto attack stays out longer before retracting normally) after perhaps attacking 3 times. Then the wings could go away...

Dragons also typically breathe fire.. If the wing animation isn't a thing then maybe fire damage...

As a Jax main who will ALWAYS build this item... I hate it.

It's a stupid design and the mechanics are completely flawed. It completely breaks champions and actually masks their true strength (similar to conqueror). It's because of crap like this that I can't go to an off-meta build with Jax.
