Balance of Luden's Echo?

So can we talk about possibly nerfing Luden's Echo? I know it was supposed to replace DFG but its a very powerful item that requires little skill to execute. At least DFG required some kind of "select" ability, it seems like LE might be just a little too powerful. Maybe a proc time nerf or scaling it down a bit? What does everyone else think about it?

It's fine.

I think that while it lacks the same skillcap that DFG had, its lack of control offsets that. Luden's' passive will proc on four targets; which four, who knows. Certainly the user can't control it. DFG, the whole burst (and subsequent damage amplification) was on a point-and-click target system.

I like it because more mages can make use of it, even if they don't have amazing scaling. Velkoz for instance has meh ratios but the active helps pump up his spell damage on hit quite a bit. Its best to look at it as additional scaling on spells every couple of casts or so. I think its in a good place atm.
