Thoughts about warding and assists

Hello!

I had a thought pop up: What would happen if a kill made in vision of a friendly ward would give the warder an assist as long as the warder him/herself doesn't have champ vision on the target? Only the oldest ward placed would grant the assist. Would that break the balance? What's the potential consequenses? Would it encourage more people to ward? What's your thoughts on it?
