AP Kennen in 7.21

Is AP Kennen still a solid top champ to play against melee champions in the top lane? I have been running it pretty heavy lately and have had mixed results. Mostly he pushes hard and absorbs a lot of jg pressure, but he also has great outplay potential. Idk. I feel like he's very squishy and his mid game damage leaves something to be desired, which leads to me getting all-in'd pretty consistently. Any tips or input on this one?

Kennen ults the second you get in range You run away from him You're already stunned Kennen gains 300 movement speed and runs circles around you while you're stunned and taking damage You're dead
