Nidalee PBE changes
As i sadly can't log into the PBE forums(whenever i try i get an internal server error, and yes i do use my pbe acount for that), i'll post my thoughts and experience on the PBE changes here.(like to PBE discussion:http://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-feedback/olJlok4U-nidalee-pbe-changes-for-911)
The nerfs to Ad nidalee are grat and justifyed, the lowered base stats reduce her AA harres by alot and her cougar Q isn't as opressing now(still hurts as it should though). The changes to the pounce reset also work greatly , more cd on second punce in the early, sligthly less lateron if u got cdr, and the reliable reset definitly helps. I somehow miss a hunt-interaction on her E...maybe reduce the base damage a bit and add a dot+reveal on her hunt-E, which would put a bit more focus in her hunt-mechanic
However, the AA-animation needs a speed up now as it is very unresponsive with the nerfed base-as. Lasthitting has become rather hard, especially for AP-nidalee. Her cougar-Q dmg is now dealt at the very end of the animation rather than on the start(really hope this is only a bug and not intended as it totally destroys her)
I always was able to transform into human form AND cast either E or Q during pounce, which now doesn'a seem to work as fluently as it used to and i also had some delay after pounce befor i could use the E. But that could also be caused by the higher ping i got on PBE.
However, the big issue with ap nida not realy contributing much to teamfights has been untuched. Her mainproblem is that she's far to easy to focus in cougar form while beeing way to squishy on ap. While her Burstpotential is still more than enough and allows her to bully squishys in lane and evt snowball early and midgame, her performance in clashes is way to unreliable. She needs to land a Skillshot that can be bodyblocked by the enemy frontline or have the enemy carry steping on her trap(not very likly to happen),after that she needs to come into range for pounce AND perform the ponce. Her hunt-ponce got about the same range as most assasins gapclosers, but instead of a realy fast dash or a instand step as oter assasins have it is a slow(compared to dashes or steps) jump that allows plenty time for the enemy team to cc and burst u (especially since u telegrath it by applying the hunt mark on a primary target...), makeing it realy unlikly to ever reach a primtarget alive unless ur enemies split up and leave their carry unprotected(u still need to land a spear though to capitalize on that though...)
I think in order to work as an assasin, nida needs to be able to succesfully reach the backline more reliable. Possible buffs would be:
- a bigger hitbox and more range on her traps
- seperate cd for hunt-pounce and normal pounce, so u can use pounce to get into position for a spear and instandly follow it up with the hunt-pounce
- untargtable during hunt-pounce
- a shortduration stealth upon applying the hunt, maybe with a duration scaling with ult ranks so it doesn't impact her early to much
- ad a shortduration stealth to her brush-passive
If she should rather work as bruiser, she needs more tankiness as cougar in teamfights. SInce her cougar is already damn strong 1v1, the tankiness should scale with the number of nearby enemys(actually every bruiser/assasin with a meaningfull defensive mechanism needs to scale of nearby enemy champions to be strong enough in a teamfight without becomeing overpowering 1v1)
- Adding a damagereduction or a hield on her hunt-ponce
- bonus defstats in cougarform(ex: WU-passive)
- Selfheal on Swipe for every champion hit
If she recives any buffs, especially in the bruiser-direction, i think she needs to get her burst nerfed a bit. Her chasing potential is high enough so she doesn'T need to be able to kill targets 100-0 with Spear-R-W-E-Q, which she currently does pretty much from early on(killed Twisted Fate on lvl 2 with Spear->W->AA+Q->W->AA+ignite from fullhealth through his summoner-heal)
