Autofill in Ranked

I know it's been in the game for some time now and I understand it's to speed up queueing. However, within a ranked game I do not consider it enjoyable or satisfying to be autofilled into roles I neither picked nor am skilled in. I can't really consider it reasonable to expect everyone to be able to play within a role they are not maining to the same level they play anything else. Jungle or support? These are things that I've never been good in despite the nearly nine years I've played. Getting autofilled into them almost guarantees a position that falls short of an average standard of the elo I'm currently in.

Is this issue just a personal one that I need to adjust, or do others also feel the same? I'm more accepting of autofill outside ranked, but once your elo is on the line, I'd much rather wait more time to ensure being in the role I queued for rather than having to dodge or just hope for the best.

Autofill is dumb when the opposing lane is not also an autofill.

My sup skills are bronze, and when I get auto-filled with a gold sup, guess what happens.

i dont know how often you get autofilled but personally its 1/15 games (i play jungle/top) so to me its better then it used to be when your place in champselect decided what roll you were going to play. the times i get autofilled i either try my best to not feed or dodge (if im on 0 lp)

still its in my experience that 1/15 games is autofilled, while in the past it was 1/5 games that you had to play support simply because you were last pick. I do understand your frustration and why autofill has a negative impact on the game (especially when you get demoted because of it -_-) As a jungler its an improvment compaired to what it was before but i can see why its worse for botlane, either getting autofilled or getting an autofilled lanepartner every match
