I just started to play league of legends since season 6 and I know a lot of things but what I don't know is what champion can I pick in different match ups and itemisation, actually it's so easy to go to a website and see it but I want to know how to do it by myself, this is all what I look for at the moment and I really want to improve as a support and I hope you guys will help me and I would like to thank you all. Look at your team's proposed team comp and the enemy team comp. Are you all squishy and/or lack hard engage? Play an engage or pick tank like leona, thresh, naut, blitz, alistar. Are you good on tanks/frontliners? Does the enemy have some great cc for locking down your carries and assassinating them (ex: vi, ww, lb, syndra, ahri, elise, etc.)? Play morgana. Janna or lulu wouldn't be horrible either, but morg can completely block their cc without relying on a long cd ult like janna. Have a safe lane and want to sit back and scale or a lane bully who just needs some extra sustain so they can basically 1v2 the enemy bot lane? Sona, soraka or lulu or janna would be good. Lacking in damage from mid/top/jg? Give brand, lux, or vel'koz a try. I feel like brand and vel have more early bully potential and safety while also scaling better into the late game - unless the enemy team is all squishies. Basically pick your champ to fill the gaps in your team's comp and play something you are comfortable with. Ping warning to adc when you are going to roam, ward, or base to shop and heal. Watch map and ping if you spot enemies roaming or enemy jungler so team can be aware and die less to ganks. Ward map and if teammates aren't doing their job warding too and you have none or just placed them all, ping to show you are out of wards and where you think team needs to ward. Don't try to ks, but don't worry about ks if it is needed to stop the enemy escaping or picking up a reply kill before they die. Ping your lane and the other lanes if bot goes mia; they won't notice if you just ping mia in your lane. Adapt your build based on how the game is going. Do you need selfish tankiness? Do you need tankiness for your team like locket? Do you need damage, and if so, which item is best for your champ? Do you need redemption or another item to buff your heals and shields on teammates? Can you force a good engage or pick onto an enemy carry or start a teamfight where your team comes out ahead? If so, force it even if it might cost your life or flash. If your team wins the fight strongly enough it is worth; don't suicide without cause though. An example of a good force is if you have strong kill pressure in your 2v2 botlane. Level 6, morg can shield herself and flash ult the sup and marksman both. Either they split up and you force 1 flash, they both flash, or you lock down at least 1 of them and can follow that up with q and w and your adc should get an easy kill or two.

give all the kills to your adc and don't die like 5 deaths before the game is over ^^
