Stacking Lethality

LegoDad··4 votes·4,143 views

Duskblade has a passive of Lethality +21. Yoummus has the same passive of Lethality at +18. I have read they don't stack if you buy 2 Duskblades. But will they stack if you buy a Duskblade and a Youmuus? Thanks,

Yes, they will. Unique Passives without names won't stack if you get them from the same source, but unique passives with names will NOT stack their shared effects if you get them from multiple sources (Ex: item 3142 and item 3147 lethality will stack; item 3003 and item 3004 mana refund will not (though they'll both grant the Mana-to-AP and Mana-to-AD respectively, as these are technically differing effects even if they do have the same name))

Thanks for that!

item 3147 UNIQUE Passive: +21 Lethality

item 3142 UNIQUE Passive: +18 Lethality

The UNIQUE tag means "if you have multiples of this item, only one of them wil give you X". In this case, those items are different, so you will have 21+18 Lethality. If you had x2 Duskblades, then you'd only have 21 Lethality.

Then you have cases like this:

item 3070 UNIQUE Passive - Awe item 3040 UNIQUE Passive - Awe item 3004 UNIQUE Passive - Awe

Those have a "UNIQUE X" in this case "UNIQUE Awe". Same logic as before. If you have multiple items with the same UNIQE name, then it will not stack. ######The part of the "mana refund" part that is.

Finally, special cases like:

item 3078 UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade item 3025 UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade item 3100 UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade

They all have the same UNIQUE name, but all of them have different descriptions/effects. In this case, the thing that is the same between all of them is only used once and it uses the highest value. Only Trinity procs the "next basic attack deals...X%" because it's the highest number of the 3 (200%). Iceborn wil proc the "icy zone" and Lich Bane will proc some magic damage (but I don't remember how much).

Except for the "spellblade" and "lifeline" families, every UNIQUE behaves as you expect it to.

Ive always thought that if you stacked all the spell blade items you got their special effects; Trinity's 2.0base AD, lich banes AP ratio, and IBGs zone.

You do. What you don't get is multiple procs of "X% damage". That you only get once. The extra effects still happen, like what happens with item 3156 item 3053 or item 3040 item 3042
