Ok I might have just missed something somewhere, but as far as I can tell the change to zhonyas hourglass was not mentioned anywhere in the patch 4.20 notes or on the league site in a visible way. If you haven't already seen, zhonyas (well actually seekers to be specific) now builds out of only 1 cloth armor and an amp tome instead of 2. This isn't me complaining, just confused and looking for an explanation please and thank you.
I noticed that as well. It might be because of the over all armor changes with the fact that cloth armor builds into wardens and chain vest and them wanting to simplify things. Also I just checked some numbers and the combined cost for Seekers went up from 125g to 465g. So they compensate for the lack of cloth armor.
Right it makes sense, and I noticed the combined cost change too, but Zhonyas in my opinion is one of the most popular mid lane mage items, it just seems weird that Riot wouldn't make a comment about it in the patch notes with it being such a frequently bought item.
