NEW RANKED SUCKS

So, I have been playing Preseason new ranked and can I just say it SUCKS! There have been so many afks in my matches that I am starting to wonder if there is even a penalty anymore. Riot needs to fix the flex ranked because not only are their afks but, there are several on smurf accounts that are clearly playing way higher than the rank they are given. So, for those of you who are on the low spectrum of ranked are set up for failure. Instead, of focusing on the back lash and terrible reputation Bronze is given they are focusing on challenger. If they want League of Legends to be for all audiences they need to gear it to ALL audiences. I will put it straight out there I AM NOT A GOLD PLAYER AND I AM OKAY WITH THAT BUT, PLEASE TAILOR BRONZE TO BE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PLAY AND GET BETTER!

Ive seen this latley and it is very annoying to have someone go afk in your ranked game.

exactly not saying do it in norms either but, at least it isn't as heavy a toll then. I mean better yet don't click queue up if you are prepared to play. Right?

The Flex queue is new everyone starts at the same elo. This is why you're going to be facing a lot of high elo players. Given time, everyone would end up at their correct elo. It's for this reason that ranked doesn't have a hard reset at the beginning of each season. If it did, the start of every season would be painful for Bronze and Silver players.

I understand but, if we could eliminate half the problem it wouldn't be so bad. So, if we can make a bigger penalty for ranked afks that helps some of it.

I agree with what Zillydill1994 said. AFK's should have a harsh penalty. Not only are you basically throwing your team to the wolves, some games can be won later if if one lane is having probs or "even feeding". Therefore if you AFK your already making the game not fun for the rest of your team. Yes games can still be fun even if you lose. Good point here Zilly and thank you for pointing this out.

That's not what she is asking. She is asking for the penaltys to be greater against the players that afk during the ranked games. If we are going to lose a match I want it to be because they beat us fair and square not because its a 4v5 or a 3v5.

I never said Riot is a bad company they just need to do some reworking on League of Legends.

depends if the score is 3/40, with all our inhibs down and no enemy towers down, and team refuses to surrender so I could have just gone to next game. I would afk, because at this point it's just a waste of time.

Then you surrender not go afk. I get that there are some games you just cant win, but when the score is 1-3 and you're top laner decides that hes had enough because he got ganked once 10 mins into the game and he afks there is no need for that

It's not the ranked system, it's the fact that's its preseason and nobody actually cares for the placements... And you shouldn't either... when the new season starts you'll get to do promos again... Chill... Here have my sweetroll...

And read what I said. Dude Ranked matters whether Preseason or not. You should not be allowed to just keep afking. If you don't want to play ranked you have at least 2 minutes in champion select plus waiting for queue then another three minutes at the start of the game to dodge and leave without penalty so please don't wait until 5 minutes or rage quit because well "it's just preseason". What about when the next season actually begins and this happened to you???? For the next five games straight you still just gonna think "oh well, it's just the beginning of the season no biggie".
