I think Sorcerer's Shoes should build out of an amplifying tome. I believe they cost too much after getting the regular boots of speed and it takes a while to get enough gold without getting any combat stats.
But they don't give any AP?
An item that lost stats that were provided by the items it combines out of would be really strange, and would break the Clarity design value.
They would need to create an item that only gives a small amount of magic pen just to do something like that. making the cost 1000 to match its ad counterpart would sound more like a viable suggestion.
