If there were an Advanced Bots game mode would you play it?
Where the bots perform additional player type actions, like going for dragons, invading, taking spells, etc

Maybe. League does need a PvE mode imo.
Riot's already proven they could do it with Doom Bots, the SG mode and Odyssey Extraction.
I think a PvE mode should be built around challenges that teach important skills. Stuff like:
I like you icon
Most of these seem mixed to me, but the CS one sounds fun. It could be easily implemented as a custom game mode that just changes respawn to 1 second, sets tp a 3 second cooldown, and makes minions spawn early. Then make a team win when they have X total CS.
I really wish something like this happens, besides the introductions that Riot gives, there needs to be further teaching of the game such as these things.
I honestly just want a bot that can jungle, so many people can't really practice except in norms.
Really only came for the Ahri picture.
These posts don't go unappreciated. <3
They do exist, it's called TT bots. Those fuckers will snap react to any alters you go for and actively fight over them.
first league has to fix bots in the first place so they know what they even are. Galio and Ryze still think they have their pre rework kits, ryze just ults in the middle of a minion wave randomly and galio stands still doing nothing sometimes.
YES, Even Expert or Master Bots. Playing against real people is fun; but playing against a computer that is always better than you? I would love it.
That is what I want sooooooooo baaaad. it would really teach hard lessons of:
paying attention to laning, when to attack, when to defend. What to do when they leave lane, ect.
It would be the best learning tool for advanced/expert players.
Even if they had a ranked Bot Playlist like Mortal Kombat Towers, linked somehow to 1v1 Howling Abyss or something.
Only if the bots are programmed to trash talk in all chat and flash Mastery 7 every time they get a kill.

Yes. Especially for learning new Champs.
Yes I play bots everyday and I think of ways they should be more challenging. I practice my csing in a bot game before every ranked match and I set all my wards and go for all the objectives to simulate a real game and it's just weird when the bots don't contest things or venture into the jungle.
I don't know.. if you get professional trolls even in Ranked, imagine how polluted a mode like that can be.
No.
Not only would I play it, I would probably play more of it than any other mode.
They aren't even good at handling their own lanes, I think trying to get them to try and challenge dragon/barons or even jungle would just make them even easier to beat. I can just see them leaving lane while you have two stacked waves beating on their turret as they let you deny a level's worth of cs.
Don't know what Ahri has to do with this post but yes I would. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
I think this would be a good next step for helping new players learn because a lot of times new players go into norms and have no idea how certain things work like what the purpose of the jungler is or how important neutral objectives are.
Yes, especially if it gives the players the skills they need to get into gold.
If Riot ever decided to do this they should equip Advanced bots with the full champion roster. Meaning there would be Yasuo bots or Kai'Sa bots.
They already tried this, it didn't work.
I remember those threads from like 8 years ago :D
Yea, hard-bots, or even hell-bots would be good addition. Tbh I'm really surprised Riot didn't expand on the world and didn't create some kind of other game, like H'n'S dungeon crawler, boss arenas or something. Waste of potential
It'd have to teach green players new stuff. The bots would need to gank, fight for vision, contest dragon, etc. More advanced micro won't help anything, but better bots would fulfill a much-needed role in player onboarding.
No not really ever. Playing against bots dosnt help much with playing against humans.
Yes and no. I think that laning vs bots has a tiny bit of value because you have to keep your CS up while trading and being traded on. If riot would make the bots play a little more like decent players at the very least that would help people with laning basics.
Add in jungler bots and roaming potential for some champs and you'd have a good place to practice games without needing real people.
If I'd play them? Dude, I'd fucking choose them over 70% of the garbage I get for team mates.
probably not myself but if bots will be decent enough it can be great mod for new players and everyone tired of toxic teammates
Where the bots perform additional player type actions, like going for dragons, invading, taking spells, etc
i kill bots therefor i am a bot killer. Not really my taste.
I got baited into coming here because of the thumbnail. ):
They should make a mode that is permanent and its name would be Proving grounds. You have to do missions like outfarm your enemy or something like that.
100%
Google starcraft 2 alpha star. The bots would have to be on that level which is impossible for a team game atleast atm.
A team game for bots with so many decision points and scenarios is insanely hard to program well to make the bot "advanced". Not only this but a huge portion of league of legends revolves around not knowing what your opponent will do. A bot is simply a long list of scenarios that given certain circumstances it will always act a certain way. Once players figure out how to make a bot act a certain way and then punish them for acting that way, the advanced bots will become easy.
I play it every day and its gold/plat elo.
for sure , when I'm learning a new champ I often like to fight bots sometimes to get the hang of them, but it's just too easy. The bots are, well, bots. Dummies. I feel as if they went for drags and everything, I could get much more experience.
Yeah. Get that DoTA AI that beat the pros and train it to play League. Pit it against the All Star teams during the off-season.
Maaaybe 1-2 times when trying out a new champion. Or when a mission -that's not limited to pvp games- requires you to go for a baron kill and the advanced bots could poooossibly (but still doubtfully) make it easier to drag out the game till baron spawns. But mostly not, so it would probably be a waste of time for riot.
They should just add a junglng bot to Intermediate, instead of having 2 top. It doesn’t seem too complicated, just have him path through the jungle, and occasionally gank lanes.
Heck yea I will.
The closeset thing we have is doom bots, even thought those don't really invade or go for Baron, drake, etc. They do have a free Rift Herald though, in the form of Teemo.
I remember there used to be one
It already exists. I think it's called Soloq
