ARAM Dodging and Losing Good Picks Over and Over

I don't know if this been suggested but I'd like to put this out there/bring this up again if it's not a new idea.

The idea is simple: You retain rerolls when someone dodges, why not retain the champion you had as well? Not only would this remove players from the game mode who dodge when they don't get what they want (as that champion will persist to your next game) but it will prevent people from trolling you in lobbies when you won't give them their precious champion. I hate getting a fun pick like Ezreal or Lux and people spam trading me then dodging. Another possible wrinkle is to let players who DON'T dodge to have an option to keep their champion but players who dodge AUTOMATICALLY keep their champion. Just some thoughts. Improvements or opinions welcome.

No. This penalizes everyone else that gets a bad roll in the lobby. I imagine it would also increase queue times since people who saved the same champ couldn't be matched together, and people will generally always be trying to roll/save the same handful of champs. This would also cause games to have the "OP" champs even more often.

Just force whoever dodges to keep their champion and lose their rerolls. It should reduce the amount of dodges because dodging would serve no purpose. They wouldn't even need a longer than normal queue time penalty.

I believe reroll would still b e an option right? Also the aram randomizer isn't truly random. So the "OP" champions aren't seen unless theyre free to play in a current week

I would also like a higher dodge penalty. As it is, we are looking at a RANDOM mode here. Play the champion you got. If you press "play" on aram, you should be ready to have any champ given to you, dodging because you dont like it is BS

that isn't the issue.

The issue is when YOUR comp is so bad that you know they can't win, or the other team must absolutely have horrid champs. I'm not going to play a game where I know its going to suck complete dick before it starts.

Might be a different issue when you play solo, but I play with 3-4 others every single time. When, in our chat/voice chat we decide that our team is fucking terrible, one of us will dodge and log into our alt account.

Actually, before Mark ruined ARAM and the Guardian item line rework, I'd pick Volibear over a lot of the other stuff. Trundle? Yes, please. Old Shyvana? Bring it on. Volibear? No problem. Skarner? I'll tap them.

...Yorick on the other hand, now that would be punishment.

Way too easy for someone to switch accounts and set up awesome comps (i already see people dodge to smurfs a lot in aram)

You already get a** SIXTEEN MINUTE** timer for dodging an aram, i would like to see it at 20 mins but i dont think we'll ever get there

Yeah but then queue times will be longer because the game will have to try to find people that don't have the same picks to match up together

Just make aram dodges a 20 minute wait time. Then it just makes more sense to play out the game instead of dodging. And that leaves people who need to dodge unaffected.

Idk. If my daughter called me and told me that she was in a car accident and I had to go give consent so she could have life saving surgery I don't give a damn when the timer or game state is. I am leaving. Tbh I probably wouldn't even dodge.

But at that point I also wouldn't care if there was a 24 hour dodge penalty.

That's a valid reason. Though if you just left, the Leaverbuster would pick that up, as well as valid player reports, but that's of course up to how you decide to do it.

Make it week long ban. Also strip them from all the rewards they got this ranked season, also chat mute for half a year. No wait... lets just perma ban anyone who dodges. ''THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO DOGDGE, FOR ANY REASON.''

Except on 3rd time i spend 2 rerolls, all rerolled champions literary the worst champions to have on aram, no one dodges, rinse and repeat.

Yes, please. I beg for this implementation. I have every champion, and when I get something good or fun, someone dodges and I just get an awful pick. Every.Single.Time.

Just unlock all champs for ARAM. At that point you can implement any penalty for dodging you like since EVERY champ is there and the most likely reason a person dodges at that point is that they just got something they refused to play.
