I was looking at the pbe earlier today, and noticed they are trying to replace the mage jungler item once again. Replacing the sheen based item with a ludens echo type. This is an obvious buff for certain mages who didn't benefit from the sheen proc, but what about the ones that did? Champs like fiddle will be an obvious choice for this item, but what about champions like ekko and diana or even fizz? The sheen proc offered more early game burst for these more mele focused ap champions.

I guess my point is... Why can't they leave runeglave in as well? Why does it have to be replaced? Leave it in for those who it worked well with, and just add the new item as a different path for the mages it didn't.

They can just buy the Lich Bane, duh. There doesn't need to be two types of every single item, just cause one doesn't give the same benefit.

Buying lich bane second would hurt your defense/health significantly.

it still effects their early game. to get that burst now you need to wait till 3rd item? with that logic than the other junglers could just build ludens echo.

Sure, but runeglaive still doesnt do ANY damage at all....

that can be fixed by changing the numbers on Runeglaive and editing the Sheen recipe.

A single mana crystal + combine cost to make sheen was terrible, it should have been amplifying tome + combine cost.

Diana doesn't benefit from the runeglaive proc aside from killing monsters. It causes a delayed powerspike because she has so little AP with ganking. The runic echo offers more burst + movement speed and mobility.

In pvp situations runic echos is better, PVM maybe runeglaive.

Generally speaking Diana doesn't buy defensive items other than abyssal / zhonays, so getting a lich bane as a third item doesn't delay any power spikes since runeglaive is only good for pvm.. This is a HUGE buff for almost all AP junglers.
