RIP FIZZ RANT

When a champ gets reworked, most times they can be fun, but this time, fizz is no longer fun, this was my main, who I have spent COUNTLESS hours, and money to get all of his skins, playing and feeling how fun it was to be a trickster, now it just feels like you screw yourself every time you go in, NOT FUN at all, makes me wish i could do a refund for every single skin and the champion, poke potential is gone, killing multiple minions using w is gone, it forces you to play in such a specific way, and its so poorly made how the W just resets the basic attack, That you cannot be a trickster like it was meant to be. I really would not have cared if they nerfed his w to do about half the damage.

I may just give league some time off, it is THAT disappointing.

Dude, the problem with fizz was that he was OPPRESSIVE to everyone but a VERY small number of champions and could snowball so easily. I'm sorry, but in essence you're complaining about how you can no longer oppress everyone you fight. "...poke potential is gone, killing multiple minions using w is gone..." He's an assassin, not a poke mage, and not a wave clear mage. You are mad that you can no longer counter virtually every other midlaner.

Very true. Fizz is great at killing single targets now - as he should be. Hes still a very strong laner and can all in easily, but hes got a LOT more counterplay now. which is very good.

Other way around. Any good mid laner in a decent elo will easily counter pick him. Leblanc, Jayce, Varus, Teemo, Ori, Akali and Ryze are all champions who can easily abuse him to the point of being starved for gold and perma pushed in which makes it impossible to roam as him. As for laners who can easily go even and have a very safe lane or even win lane vs him: Kayle, Kassadin, Malz, Syndra, Zed, Yasuo ect. Just because you're experience with him points towards him being abusive and uncounterable does NOT make it fact.

He's an ASSASSIN, that's what Fizz is supposed to be. Furthermore, of the champions you listed, even if you're correct in their ability to counter him (I've seen fizz shit on many of these champions many times myself) you listed less than a 10th of all lol's champions, 13/143 champions. Furthermore, you're talking about him getting counterpicked, but if he's the one counterpicking then you're screwed outside that list.

Exactly. "Outside that list" The difference between a good player and a bad player is how far back they can trace their mistakes. If you picked the wrong champion for that particular matchup in champ select then it's still a mistake on your end, not the enemys champion. Besides, as long as you don't pick Ahri, Lux, Velkoz, Xerath, Twisted Fate or some obviously horrible pick like ashe mid then fizz can't abuse you unless you're making some massive errors in your mechanics and/or positioning. Again, a champion isn't broken for countering other champions, you're just inexperienced for picking those champions vs him.

EDIT- Forgot to mention this. In no way insulting you for this, your "experience" is inherently flawed by the elo you're playing in. Anything below diamond is filled with mechanical errors, positioning errors, map awareness issues, lack of knowledge, sub optimal build paths, and just overall unrefined gameplay. This is why you can do what you want in low elo because if nothing else you can rely on player error to fill in the gaps where something may lack. In this case, regardless of if fizz loses a certain matchup or not it's all pointless unless the opponent plays at even a mid elo standard.

No offense taken, and I know. I don't play often enough or consistently enough to get a team together so I just fart around for fun. However, Fizz still takes off WAY too easy in snowballing, his mobility, playful/trickster, and dot along with his waveclear capacity made him able to fill multiple roles easily. I'm addressing the op's complaining. He's an assassin, he shouldn't be able to do everything the op's talking about, again "poke potential is gone, killing multiple minions using w is gone" all wrapped up in a character that can also easily out maneuver many abilities that aren't auto-lock and rooting/stunning/etc.

Fizz never had good wave clear. His E was usable but was never safe to use VS a competent mid laner as that's a big sign to put in as much harass as possible.

"Poke" can only refer to W>Q>AA then E away but that's typically a horrible idea if it's a hard matchup as that wastes mana and leaves you vulnerable and zoned off of the wave till your E is up again. Depending on the matchup this just wastes your time, loses you gold and XP, and sometimes can lead to a lost lane if the enemy is capable of chasing you down afterwards.

This is where a higher elo player comes into play: Learn how to work around the E. In reality it's a short range Mobility spell with a super long CD and massive mana costs early on. Did he just use it? You can throw whatever you want at him and he can't do s***. Are you afraid that he'll use it to dodge an ability? Don't waste the important stuff. He can only use it once then he's boned till it comes up again so just properly bait it out with a something other than your primary CC or damage spell.

If you actually look at high elo you'll notice that despite how "broken" people think fizz is, he's not played unless one of the aforementioned champions are picked so that he doesn't get completely trashed in laning phase. But, BECAUSE people in low elo typically don't meet the skill standards required to abuse his weaknesses it tends to seem like he's too strong and easily carries games. I assure you it's not that simple.

I'll defer to your expertise on this, my experience is limited.

HongChongDong seems to have the right idea, i know how to not lose a lane against a fizz with anyone, and to kill him with who has a chance to. FUN seems to be secondary with the champ now, and the rework will force to play tanky so you can stick around for those two seconds. And dude really people who have trouble beating a fizz need to think about teamwork more, as it has always been, if you get caught with cc you are dead, but riot thinks people need two complete seconds for champs to get a chance to get cc on him, its just lame and counter intuitive with what fizz is supossed to do,

If he is so oppressive and stuff, why is he never picket at worlds against Syndra, a pretty easy matchup? Also "hes an assassin" yeah... So why does he have to wait 2 sec to get any useful damage off with an already delayed kit?

I totally agree im gonna quit league because of this rework.. fizz is litterly the weakest assassin now...

riot please change this, 2 seconds before you can use your second ability makes the champ totally useless

because you are dead during those 2 seconds + you cant escape if you try to go in

Ult ---> E/E ---> AA ---> Q ---> W chase until dead. Fizz is still very strong. you just need large sharks.

You can W after your E or Q when you ulti you know, ulti applies the DoT charge making it easier to proc the bonus damage.

People here seem to have forgotten about how it is NOT fun to play fizz now since he feels so mechanical and you must do what it was reworked to do, want to do it any other way?, you are fucked, Tank fizz will be what we see the most, If we see any fizz players anyways

My effectiveness with Fizz has gone up considerably post rework. The new big shark is so easy to land now.
