Can we discuss Teemo's mushrooms and how completely terrible of a design they are?
Teemo mushrooms: You step on them and take a lot of damage. He is not even close to you when this happens and they can be anywhere once the lanephase has ended. They force you into a trinket corner where you want to overstack on Oracles alterations to the point of not having enough viable vision. These are intangible strengths that greatly skew his effectiveness. The kit has its own path to victory that is hit or miss (bully out your opponent and split push) but the mushrooms are a completely separate and often random win condition. Are you or your team smart, organized, and disciplined enough to identify the areas where you will operate and THEN sweep out those areas PRIOR to engaging in any sort of activity there? No? Then you're probably about to have a miserable loss to a champion that isn't even in the same quadrant of the map as you 90% of the time. Whether it's to taking stupid amounts of damage from them prior to being engaged on, (sometimes the detection inexplicably interrupts causing you or a teammate to put a move command on the mushroom instead of an attack) or to a similarly stupid pick brought about by a lack of vision from having too many sweepers. The burden here is heavily on the party who stands to become the most frustrated. Mushrooms just aren't fun. They aren't good gameplay. Simply put they are complete and utter bullshit that add nothing to the game that is worth keeping, and I want to hear what you all have to say about them.
main (don't crucify me pls), I'll admit that his shrooms feel separate from the rest of his kit. Sometimes I can carry with shrooms alone, and sometimes I barely have a chance to use them.
) and Control Ward/Oracle Alteration are extremely effective counters for regaining control of map quadrants. Teemo also has high base movement but incredibly low mobility, so half-coordinated ganks and flanks throughout the game are also good ways to deal with him more directly, since he's garbage in larger skirmishes and can usually only hold his own in 1 v 1 situations against specific champions.
