I was just testing out to see if banenr of command had any effect on Azirs soldiers and I found something weird.
With 80 ap and banner of command, a soldier striking did 109 damage With 80 ap, but no banner, and with the same amount of magic resist on the target, a soldier striking did 110 damage
Is this just a round error? I imagine banner isn't intended to work on his minions, but I figured I'd post something because you never know.
His soldiers are technically an aoe spell not a minion. Hence why the banner doesn't work.
However, you might be getting more damage because banner has CDR on it. The CDR affects soldiers dps.
seems like it could be a very powerful early item on azir still, even without working on his soldiers. The 25% attack speed + 80 AP for 2400 gold is pretty good. Not to mention the pushing power you could get out of it is intense, if he didn't have enough already.
What i'd love to see is an azir take it early and use it and his passive in lane to just free farm while fighting in another lane :P
