Diamond the place for supports?

I meta slaved my way through Plat recently with Ivern jungle but I got my secondary role one game as Nami and had some fun so I kept playing her and i haven't lost for 8 games with her.

I literally just hit diamond a few days ago and now I am D4 but I thought D5 was supposed to be very difficult to escape. Is Diamond the place for support mains???

Anyone experience the same?

basically every d5 player is a janna/nami support main. they're carried up and they'll occasionally play to avoid demotion.

the reason is they statistically have the least impact and the fact that they're 0-8 wont matter as much, so long as they do key things they're good enough to support in diamond, like warding.
