Nimbus Cloud, Essence Reaver, and the importance of precision in language
First part, Verbiage matters Nimbus Cloak, Essence Reaver, and possibly other things (You can't test Zeke's Convergence in testing mode. Good job.) share similar verbiage. Nimbus Cloak: "Casting an ultimate ability" Essence Reaver: "After you cast your ultimate," Zeke's Convergence: "Casting your ultimate" They do not trigger on the same conditions, at least for Nimbus Cloak and Essence Reaver which can be tested. Please be more distinct in wording so that these things are clearly different because they are by behavior.
Inconsistency and likely unintended interactions Quinn's Behind Enemy Lines triggers Nimbus Cloak only after the end of the channel, while Skystrike triggers Essence Reaver. The wording of the items implies that Nimbus Cloak and Zeke's Convergence should begin their effect once you start to cast the ability, not 'after' like Essence Reaver suggests. Riven triggers both Nimbus Cloak and Essence Reaver on Blade of the Exile, doesn't trigger either on Wind Slash (Tested in practice where you can desync the cooldown of Nimbus Cloak and Riven's ultimate). Kled's movement speed is unmodifiable during his ultimate and as such Nimbus Cloak does literally nothing for him and should be disabled just like manaflow band is for manaless champions. Each use of Ahri's Spirit Rush dashes resets the Essence Flare Primed buff. (Also the tooltip for Ahri's Spirit Rush doesn't actually say it can be cast at no cost.) Lux. Lux, Lux, Lux. You have Nimbus Cloak trigger after your ultimate finishes its cast. But Essence Reaver gives Lux the Essence Flare Primed buff as soon as you begin the cast. That's behavior that is opposite of what the text suggests. Kayne is in the same situation is Lux. Nimbus Cloak triggers as he exits the target. Essence Flare Primed is granted while still inside the target. Xerath, casting his ultimate grants the Essence Flare Primed buff, recasting refreshes that. Once it completes Nimbus Cloak triggers. (Sidenote, I am curious about the survivabiliy/damage tradeoff with going bruiser Xerath and capitalizing on your regular abilities instead of playing the archetypical artillery mage; at 40% cooldown reduction Xerath's self-cancelled ultimate and Essence Reaver have the same cooldown.)
There are probably other strange cases that I'm missing, but I'm not getting paid for this. Please make the behavior of items and masteries consistent with the language used to describe that behavior. Or change the language to reflect the behavior. Either way, clarity is important. Right now you have the buff that most-often triggers immediately on cast as being described as occurring after the ultimate is cast but the buff that occurs most often after effects are complete and you have the ability to move champions being described as occurring simultaneously with the cast. Something has to give.
