Ahri's AOE and CC are actually fairly weak compared to a lot of other mages mid lane, and her burst is okay, but not exceptional.

She's still one of the best mid laners in the game though.

I've stopped considering her an Assassin after she lost her damage amp. She is effectively a kiting mage.

Most Assassin's I've seen have little CC, or very Unreliable CC. And not usually paired with Mobility or AoE.

AS for why Assassins have AoE? For wave clear and farming. And why are Assassins allowed to farm wave? Because they are no longer allowed to farm Champions.

This is pathetic. People need to stop attacking balanced champs and focusing on the ones that need help or are too overbearing.
