Is Lux mid or support on bottom?

I feel like I can only poke with my q and e in midlane and I feel like my mid opponents deal more damage. I think I would be better as a support for my ADC on bottom, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I play Lux support a lot, but when I go mid, she's my go-to. She's both.

Lux doesn't 'get fed' mid. She's not OP. She's fine. She's no fed Zed, or fed Yasuo.

But that isn't a problem. She brings utility and long-range harass, and AOE damage. This is GREAT seige and teamfight stuff. She can instantly delete squishies, even if not ahead, with ease. She can gank bot really well, and steal dragon. She can assist her jungler if they're invaded while she's in lane! She does a lot for her team- and that's her strength. You CAN win mid with her range but don't expect to see crazy scores all the time.

That's also why she works as support. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise-- Lux is an amazing Catcher / Poke support, great for carrying low elo games. I have an insane winrate with her. The secret is that your Q is more important than your E in a 2V2 situation. It's almost as good as a Thresh hook, but easier to land, and followed up by insane damage. You do not have to play her as a 'killsteal' support- just learn how much damage she does and prepare your catch for your adc to finish.

People sometimes flame me and go on full tilt before the game even begins when I pick Lux as support in normals. I wouldn't do it in ranked just for that reason. Not because she's a bad support pick (maxing W + Athene's + a shield-boosting item works really well) but because people think anyone who plays Lux support is planning to go full AP and hoping to irony carry rather than playing support responsibly. And it's true that a lot of people do that. But the problem's not with Lux herself - she has great tools for support. It's great to have a mid who brings shields and CC too.

Lux support has a 44% Diamond win rate. It's freaking garbage. Even in Bronze, it doesn't even scrape 50%.

You can play mid ,but she scales really bad.With all those shields free zhonyas for everyone you cant really burst anyone.And thats her job ,if you cant do that you useless.she"s not bad but not good either ,she"s like average.Dont know about lux support ,but she should be good.I mean you have double cc,aoe shield ,some dmg.

Her damage makes her ideal in mid lane, but has enough utility to pass off as a support. It bugs me to see mid lane mages sneak their way into the support's position, but I will give it to her that she can directly help teammates without kill securing.

I despise Lux support because I feel like she either snowballs hard and deals more damage than anyone else or she feeds and becomes useless. Riot needs to change her up a bit, because her current kit is just a meh Xerath in mid and a meh Brand/Leona support.

Lux is more defined as a Support mage, while her waveclear is just crap currently as she cannot waveclear properly, it's best to take her down to the bot lane with an ADC like Varus, Cait, or even Ez. It becomes cancerous when you can basically poke out or even outright kill the enemy bot lane with your adc because your poke range is fairly large. Level 6 you do offer a ton of kill pressure simply to due lux's combo being deadly. Dont forget a sightstone

Well, I believe she is a Bottom Laner because if you check "Who To Play" you'll probably see Lux if you chose her to start with, click her and wait for the picture to fade out and it shows she is a Bottom Laner
