how come viktor's e gets blocked by yas's w?

I've had games where i was viktor and fought with yas, e'd to finish the fight, but he blocks it with his w. Like, the laser literally STOPS in it's tracks. I've almost died from this a few times. Why does his w (which blocks PROJECTILES) block viktor's e (a LASER), if it isn't fired a certain way?? I mean, I don't care about yas too much, but really?

Lasers are just lots of photons being projected.

Unless it belongs to lux.

His laser is made of corn. Once shot out his "artificial hand hanging from his head" it turns into a spaghetti string, thus block-able by a wall of wind produced from a swing of a sword.

Projectiles are anything that has travel time.

Lux's ult and Xerath's Q are instant and therefore cannot be block by the windwall for instant.

Vikor's E, while a laser, does travel along the ground, therefore it has travel time and thus: Is blocked by windwall.

blow on a laser pointer, you'll notice that it disapears. dont question it...

It is traveling along the ground. If it travels it is a projectile. The only difference between it and other projectiles is that is starts at a point of your choosing, but it isn't really any different from something like Varus Q.

Don't complain, Vik actually has it easy since he can spawn it behind the windwall and still hit him.

The best part is, if you aim the line parallel to the WindWall, it still goes behind it and doesn't get blocked even tho the beam logistically should get blocked like when you aim it perpendicularly since it visually passes though.

So Viktor's laser is situationally able to ignore windwall apparently.
