I live in the capital of Kansas and after I pinged the new server, it returned at 134 ping, which would be a large increase from my normal 98 ping. I dismissed it and just said that in game it would be better. After getting online today. I had 134, and I'm greatly discouraged.. How is it that I'm having a ping increase when I am closer to the server than ever before? My ISP is AT&T.
I'd personally assume that you didn't ping the new server. Not everyone was selected, and you're probably just experiencing a lag spike for the Portland server. How are you sure?

my ping made 0 change so i assume i was not selected.
i just did a traceroute and wow.. coming down from a 115 to 120 ping to a 60 to 70 ping is going to be insane.. i'm so ready to listen to the pro streamers complain about ping.. should be fun... looking at you bjerg :P
