I live in the capital of Kansas and after I pinged the new server, it returned at 134 ping, which would be a large increase from my normal 98 ping. I dismissed it and just said that in game it would be better. After getting online today. I had 134, and I'm greatly discouraged.. How is it that I'm having a ping increase when I am closer to the server than ever before? My ISP is AT&T.
disregardable1 votesI'd personally assume that you didn't ping the new server. Not everyone was selected, and you're probably just experiencing a lag spike for the Portland server. How are you sure?

How do you do a traceroute, and what is it for?
disregardable1 votesEnter "Tracert 104.160.131.1" into the command prompt to see how your connection (by tracing the route) goes from your house to the new Riot servers. You can also "Ping 104.160.131.1" to see your ping. :D

No my ping was fine yesterday, it was at the usual 50-60. Today when I played a game, I noticed my ping was about 140. I tried relogging and then it stayed at a constant 400. wtffff riot :(
