MAJOR Heimerdinger changes have accidentally been pushed to Live. Winrate's dropped: 52.9% -> 47.1%

Drkjay··49 votes·24,205 views

None of this is mentioned in the Patch Notes and has ever been on PBE. I've put together a video showcasing all of the undocumented changes that I've found.

TLDR;

  • E's stun duration now lasts 0.25 seconds. It normally lasts 1.25 seconds. It now lasts as long as an Aatrox Q.

  • You gain a Turret(Q) charge upon respawning. This can bug out if you already have 2 Turrets as you respawn and you can end-up holding 4 Turret Kits.

  • R+W and W no longer share a cooldown. This means that you can R+W, even if W is on cooldown.

My guess is that these changes are a subset of some other Heim changes that haven't been revealed yet and managed to sneak their way through to live. Unless he gets disabled / hotfixed quickly, you can go and try all of these out right now.

A bunch of Heimerdinger bugs got introduced this patch. We're working on a hotfix for those at the moment, hoping to have it out today or tomorrow. If something meaningful (e.g. stun duration) has changed and it's not listed in the patch notes it's unintentional.

There’s also a bug with Neeko tooltips’ numbers, I can’t even see her spells’ names. Not gamebreaking but insanely annoying.

Thanks Meddler.

oh, take your time.

by the way, any word on spellvamp interaction with urgots ult? the death dance change seems to have brought it to light, but apparantly this had always been a thing with gunblade.

he probably could pull it off just with ravenous hunter.

He doesn't heal from the 9999 True damage. He heals from the damage his ult actually does. The way its coded it does 100% current health damage to the target, and if they somehow survive then it applies the 9999 true damage. However he only heals for the damage they take. If they somehow survive the initial % damage he still doesn't heal off the execute component. If it worked like that u would buy gunblade on Pyke simply because healing to full with every ult kill is insane utility.

there is a video on the boards here from the current patch.

you can see an urgot healing like 5k health off his ult on a practise dummy. it could have been more, since that urgot simply didnt have more than 5k max health. at maximum he should only be able to heal 15% off 2500 health (= 375 healing; the practise dummies have 10k health), so this should be impossible if spellvamp healed for damage taken and not damage dealt.

its a bit busted right now.

Tyermaillin1 votes

How is it busted? It's a practice dummy lol. There's going to be a fundamental difference between a unit with 10k health that doesn't die and an actual champion.

it doesnt matter that its a practise dummy, because urgots ult doesnt just deal 25% of the enemies health.

its coded in a weird way where it triggers at or below 25% health on the enemy and then deals like 100k true damage or something like that, because at the time it was probably just funny to the guy who reworked urgot. it could have probably been done some other way.

so it doesnt really matter if you urgot ult a 600 health teemo or a 10 000 health practise dummy. urgots ult always deals a hilarious amount of overkill. and since death dance and gunblade heal for damage dealt and not damage taken, it would always heal a 5k health urgot to full health from almost 0.

this could be fixed by fiddling with urgots execute mechanic around a little, and not just having it deal a stupid amount of overkill damage.

ZackTheWaffleMan1 votes

I think it starts at 10 true damage, and then rapidly adds more until they die, like 110->1110->11110->111110->can't kill

there has to be at least another step, because the video showed the urgot healing 5k health.

i dont know the exact mechanic tbh, i just thought it was a stupid amount of overkill to the point where its impossible to outheal or outshield even under the best cicumstances.

ZackTheWaffleMan1 votes

well, 15% of 111110 is like 16,666

Stray Kat1 votes

It's due to how practice dummies are coded, and their inability to die. On a normal character in game it does not interact this way, and heals off only the amount that it actually deals, or close to it. Practice dummies being immune to death makes them function weirdly.

Eleshakai1 votes

It's not actually broken. Dummies have infinitely regenerating HP and thus ACTUALLY take the 9999 damage, which means he heals that off a practice dummy. But he'll never heal that off an actual unit.

Cowseed1 votes

should be 1500hp healed on execution, no?

i dont know how much damage it actually does. its just a silly large number.

You know you can take your time and just leave heimer weak for a bit and i bet i speak in behalf of literally every non jungle player.

saltran6 votes

When you speak against Heimer you speak in name of the toplane mains, jungle mains, midlane mains, adc mains, supp mains and Ivern mains.

He's just aids where he goes and the pinnacle of what unfun means.

Tahminatrix 2 votes

not quite the pinnacle since atleast he has to land skillshots, but close.

Like, he isn't gonna kill you even if you are playing passive and giving up all your farm, unlike some other champs.

Instead he'll take every objective in sight while having enough movement speed to dodge or run from most things and enough poke to force you off things. And unless you can easily destroy his turrets from outside their range or are ahead enough to ignore them you cannot stop him.

Fire Blaustoise4 votes

good luck doing this toplane (most of your game is an 1v1... 1v2). Now botlaners had a medecine of this BS, maybe riot will address this.

Just kill his turrets and THEN kill him if you want to gank him. Jesus. You must be a really shitty player if you don't realize that trying to kill a Heimer with all turrets up is the same as chasing a Singed.

cool you'll reply to bugfix posts, but you won't reply to the hundreds of posts saying you guys are ruining the game with your design choices.

please fix darius R tooltip

Fire Blaustoise1 votes

Have you abandonned the goal of his rework ?? (giving more counterplay to melees)

saltran1 votes

Its not like rangeds either have a good time against Heimer, it takes 3 rangeds aa's to take down a tower while receiving dmg unless you are Cait/Ashe and he only wasted 20 mana on that tower.

Not saying that melees dont have a rough time against him, but he lacks counterplay for everyone and that's why he had like 53% winrate on the 3 lanes at the same time, and Riot even wanted to buff him this patch, you have to laugh.

Thanks for clarification, I'll not touch him until next patch on my smurf

His Ult turret normal attacks no longer scale with AP, his turrets normal attack also no longer proc Rylai's, aery, or Dark Harvest. These are also considered meaningful and will receive a fix, correct?

Also this might be a good time to look at the bug when he throws a grenade into brush and it doesn't reveal enemies: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeimerdingerMains/comments/9lwnpz/heimer_bugs/ Has something to do with the hitbox of his grenade and the top edge of the grass.

i feel like that is really bad change on his E. and hope its a bug

Moonscourge9 votes

I like that E change. The slow is massive enough that it does the trick and the mini stun is still good enough to cancel skills and channels. The other changes look like buffs too, so no complaints.

TheWizardM3 votes

I mean the stun is long enough for the lasers to hit, but it still costs heimer about half his damage, as he can't hit w in time.

The fucking duration of the CC wouldn't be enough to stop a Master Yi pentakill.

good. screw heimerdinger

Good riddance, take your time to fix it Riot, no need to hurry up.

“Good riddance to ADCs” Wait a minute, that’s wrong speak and allow me to spend paragraphs explaining why.

“Good riddance to Heim” hehe xd funni meme

saltran3 votes

Considering that Riot not only wanted to fix his bugs which is legit but also fucking buffed his ultimate W last patch when Heimer was already disgustingly strong on the three lanes I think that my recent bias against him it's justified.

And no, I havent been stomped by a Heimer lately, it's just that I dont understand what thoughts leads into Riot buffing Heimerdinger.

Jinzo Torrance5 votes

Turrets also don't proc Rylais, Aery or DH anymore. His AP ratio on Ult W wave is missing and only his first W rocket can proc DH (successive rockets can't, probably treated as procs).

His Ult turret auto also doens't scale with AP anymore (does only base damage).

Hope an hotfix is being made.

To be honest I dont see issue there.

no way this was accident. riot has always hated this yordle. while champions like yas and irellia are op and can 1v9 people still want hiemer nerfed. the stun should be 2.5 sec for how small the hit box is.

SettDownShutUp2 votes

"YEAH! Screw that Yordle! Let's give him a new burst combo that'll take out most squishies!"

"..fred..."

"God I hate his guts, Let's make it so that he can sometimes get FOUR turrets! That'll show him!"

"FRED!"

"What?"

"...how are these buffs your suggesting actually nerfs...?"

... Yeah they are totally accidents.

In all honesty when bugs like this happen the players of that champion deserve compensation in some way shape or form.

HELLO RIOT??????

Heimerrhoids1 votes

Meddler you haven't fixed him! R-Q not scaling with ap on autos means late game it does less auto damage than a regular turret! no effect procs on turrets either! when is this going to be fixed?
