Kalista will smash you, almost every time.

I've found her stupidly easy to deal with to be honest. She tries to poke down in laning with her spears, just go with a Thresh/Braum/Leona supp (for me anyway). She has good damage but if you get a good initition on her she's dead almost every time. Her ult is so damn annoying though. I've found it more annoying being on her team and having it done to me than the enemy using it. I flash hook'd with thresh, landed it, lanterned out to our fed mid laner, at which point, before i got my q off to fly in, our kalista ult'd me -.- I hate playing with her, love playing against her.
her ult is so telegraphed and i've never had issues winning against a kalista
Use CC. Beat Kalista. Also, high burst mages and assassins (typicaly in mid) roaming down can just 100-0 her, as she's really susceptible to burst.

cc is usually in skillshots she can dodge with ease. and the argument that shes susceptible to burst is also irrelevant because every adc is, and if the burst combo has any linear skillshots, or involve getting in her face then goodluck
No, you aim the skillshots for during her jump. It's the same distance every time (Unless she's jumping backwards, then further), so you can telegraph where she's going to land.
Also, there's tons of targetted CC. Okay, not tons, but definitely enough. See Ryze, Maokai, and TF. When I played a match against he and I was TF, I just waited for her jump and used wild cards to hit her as she was landing.
I like all the feedback, mixed opinions. I guess it's just a matter of who your laning against and skill. Those jumps are effective if Kalista can time them right.
