Assassin Update? Where my Nocturne At?

Isn't Nocturne Nocturne, The Eternal Nightmare use to be one of the most well known champ in League? Over this course of couple of years, Nocturne has now blend in to Zed Zed's shadow who we just barely remember as "the one who went kamikaze" and start team fight. What is Nocturne anymore? When the "Assassin Update" was announce I'm sure all the present Nocturne main was eager to see their favorite diver take some kind of rework in to the real nightmare that he is. Even so Nocturne is always a laughing stock for people every time someone fail his ult because even if he ult people would just run they would just wait there to kite against him. I believe Nocturne is one of the speediest jungler but he lack mechanic to outplay. Even a cheap champ like MasterYi Master Yi has higher mechanic than Nocturne. Even If anyone can build the best item like item 3142 and summoner 6 both together you can't even escape a simple chase. I know all those Nocturne main understand how weak Nocturne is out of the meta right now. Their for i ask for support for Riot improve this forgotten champ into someone fit to play with.

I have been doing quite well on nocturne lately 65% win rate on him and got 3 S on him today

If this is on normal then it's too easy to get S. I'm talking about rank and maining him.

You might be right that Nocturne is a diver but isn't diver suppose to be tanky? Aren't normal diver always have a plan B for escaping? [slayer-jinx-unamused]

All Divers have some kind of defensive tool, but how powerful that tool is varies widely. Irelia has her sustain and CC resistance, Panth has his block, Xin has sustain and resist, Noc has a spellshield, and so on and so forth.

None of these champs have a means of escaping once they go in aside from walking away. That's what divides Divers from Assassins. Divers go balls deep. Assassins can move in and out of combat easily.

Still I agree with you but the spell shield only use once and can only block one skill shot. As a diver in team fight how do you manage to survive and carry?

By disrupting enemy vision and jumping someone who's slightly out of position so the enemy team can't see who you're after and react in time to save them?

He's classed as a Diver now, not an Assassin.

Well they called a lot of their champs one thing or another, then after awhile they decided to go and change them :/ I still look at him as an assassin, even though the ult is what makes him "DIIIIIIIIVE" XD

So true man. What i just discover is that most of these divers are juggernaut and normally go for tank build which is unlike Nocturne who always went for burst assassin build.

Actually, a bruisery nocturne tends to be what I see, and tends to be more effective.

Then he needs to have the defensive stats of a diver. Right now he has the defensive stats of an assassin, so you dive and get 2 hit, even when you're 11/1. It's a joke.

Well it is why a lot of the time he's built more tanky then anything. I'm sure they'll give him a good look when they do the Diver update.

Nocturne plays like a tank, but he has assassin defensive stats, but not assassin damage or spells. He is just in an awkward place and not as good as champs in the same role such as vi or xin. It's a shame because he's fun, but he needs to get a whole lot tankier with his scaling than he does now. Riot forgot he exists.
