What's even the point of the new snowball tossing spell on Howling Abyss?

All I see is ranged champs abusing it for additional poke. Going in 1v5 as a result of the snowball hitting just gets you killed on a melee champ, and because of the higher probability of the enemy team getting support picks with shields/heals (because you have a melee), you're basically invalidated.

Would've been nicer to see an item that acted like an EMP, blowing up current shields on enemy champions and eliminating additional ones for X seconds on affected champions. Or an AD grievous wounds item. Or even further healing reduction for champions with heals...

Shit's just dumb.

While snowball was another terrible decision by the Rito Dev Team.

Seeing the opposite as Tanks are taking the summon spell and range champs are beginning rerolling at select screen. The high gold income is allowing tanks to get early Warmogs and Spirit Visage. Way too healthy.
