So I recently picked up zyra earlier last week and I have to say that I have been doing pretty well on her since I bought her.
However, I just want some tips if any on how I can improve my gameplay on her since I feel like I might still be lacking some of the core knowledge.

Tip 1/1. Don't play Zyra until she's worked on in the mage update. They ruined her by pretty much forcing her into support, it's no fun.
Don't worry about the damage numbers on her spells. Most of her damage will come from her plant minions. Since that makes her a DPS mage, a top priority build should be Liandry's Torment. At the same time, she's extremely mana hungry and will burn her entire bar on a single salvo, so mana and mana regen are super important for her.
If you are scared of ganks when you're pushing a turret, then throw down seeds behind you to prepare. When someone comes in, fall back to your seeds and dump the full salvo on it, not the enemy. They'll come to you, so make them play on your terms.
she can jungle as well. You can jungle with her by using your plants to tank the damage from the camps. I would only jungle with her if the enemy is immobile though.
**TIP:**use your q and e first and right during the animation for the q/e that is when you should place your seeds for a sweet greeny surprise :)
You can place a seedling while your Q or E is casting. so Its become a habit for me to q, then immediately w for the spitter plant.
