Sett is the most idiotic champ so far.

Look I'm not gonna lie, I like sett's whole deal. He's a really badass champ but his kit makes absolutely no sense. He has true damage on like a 10 second cooldown at max level. True damage is meant to make it so that tanks aren't completly invincible. Most champs that deal true damage are assassins which means that while they deal high damage, they are also very squishy. So the whole idea of a tank that counters tanks is already kind of ridiculous, but then you took it a step further and made his true damage scale with max health. You've created a assassin tank with crowd control, movement speed buffs, true damage, and a one shot aoe ult(under certain conditions). In my humble opinion, I think you guys should remove true damage altogether and just have max health percentage damage which has the same purpose, but also has some way to counter it(items that inflict grevious wounds or have lifesteal). Also a little bit off topic but stop making new champions when you haven't even balanced the ones that already exist, stop buffing champions and nerf all the broken ones, I assume it would be a lot easier to do that the trying to simultaneously buff weak champs and nerf strong ones. It's just my two cents on the matter and Tbh I dont expect you guys to implement every thing I said all I ask for is to consider it.

Honestly Sett isn't that bad. is he OP? Yea. But for fucking once it's not because their kit has 300 dashes, Invisibility, a stun, and 9 billion damage.

Sett just has numbers problems. He is just overtuned. All Riot needs to do to Sett is take a mallet to his numbers.

Proposed changes?

Base Armor down to 30 at level 1, Keep at 105 at Level 18 (Old 37-105) Base AD down to 115 at level 18. AD at level 1 remains at 60 (Old 60-125) Base HP Regen Reduced to 3 at level 1, up to 20 at level 18 (Same as Aatrox) (Old 9.25-22) W Expended Grit Damage reduced to 20% (From 25%) R % of Max HP damage reduced by 10% at all ranks to 30%/40%/50% (From 40%/50%/60%)

Sett has actually a fairly refreshing kit from what we have been seeing. All these "Complex" Champions who do literally everything are getting pretty annoying to deal with. Sett is just a beef cake who punches. So in reality I think his kit is fine. He just needs numbers tweaks.

This... this attitude needs to change. Just because a champ doesn't have a million mobility skills doesn't make them balanced. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that a new champ doesn't have absurd mobility for a change, but it speaks a LOT to how badly balanced the game is when a champ can come out who is as numberically broken as Sett and people are saying he's balanced because he doesn't have a dash. That's madness.

not having a dash means you can do less because you have less ways of setting things up. so alot of champions without mobility when overpowered are just overtuned rather than some flaw with their kit

I mean, you're right. But that doesn't mean he's balanced. He's a little TOO overtuned. Dude has insane burst, sustained damage AND durability, as well as hard CC and the ability to shrug off poke due to his stupidly high health regen. Most juggernauts have a fraction of those things. Dude has too much utility for a juggernaut and too much raw stats for a simple tank or bruiser. Saying "Sett isn't too strong because some champs can kite him" is like saying "release Yasuo wasn't too strong because Malzahar and Annie could ignore windwall".

Being able to be counterpicked isn't balance.

He literally said that the champion wasn't balanced... he literally said that the champion needs number nerfs. Like did you even bother reading even a fraction of what he wrote?

Of course I did. And I agree. But there are ton of people saying "sett most balanced release ever made". I disagree with the statement that he "isn't that bad". He is. A massive stat stick is just a much a problem as a spastic dash-monkey with akali levels of mobility and bullshit. I dislike people making one seem like it's less a problem, because that encourages more stat-stick champs who just have massive numbers. Both are equally inane and bad for the game.

His true damage is a very small skillshot that also does very little damage unless he has recently been hard bursted. None of his stats directly increase its damage, only his grit, so he is super weak to being poked and kited, and has little damage unless you focus him.

We were once in the "Passive on your Passive's Passive, with an Active" era, now Riot is one upping it with one shot ults,

But they will keep releasing champs b/c chances are most League players want new champs.

So older champs are taking a back seat for a long time.

It's a calculated business decision that may chances are makes more bank for them. This way they don't always mess up the reworks (by getting way more time to rework a champ that has a certain theme) while giving you a reason to get a champ upon release. Yes, Qiyana, Kai'Sa, Senna, Sett, Sylas, Aphelios are all weirdly balanced champs, but that is probably the thing that keeps ppl coming back.

This is all I need to know that your post is wrong.

"Most champs that deal true damage are assassins"

Ummm that is 100% untrue. THE ONLY ASSASSIN WITH TRUE DAMAGE IS PYKE ON HIS ULT NO ONE ELSE.

"his true damage scale with max health."

It doesn't, it scales with grit and sett only gets that AFTER taking damage his w alone doesn't do much damage it's like 230. Meaning sett has to lose like 40% of his hp to actually have a somewhat damaging ability.

I guess I probably should have worded that first phrase better. I guess the reason I said that assassins have true damage is because a majority of assassins build lethality or magic pen which acts similar to true damage in the sense that it ignores armour or MR.

And regarding the second part, all in fights are usually over in a matter of seconds wether someone dies or escapes. So when you have a champ that literally can lose most of there health and get a shield( not unlike a morde w) AND DEAL TRUE DAMAGE WITH IT, then you have to realize that 230 damage( no way that's right) that gains damage with grit(btw his w absolutely gains damage with max health since his grit works off of that) is absolutely devastating if you are hit by it. (Btw pykes ult doesnt deal true damage, it's a execute, Like cho'gaths ult. The only thing that makes those acceptable is that you cant use them every 15 seconds) Also it's kinda ridiculous to call my entire post wrong by judging two phrases that took place in the first half of it. However I appreciate a differing opinion and I thank you for helping me learn more about the game.
