I feel like Clash is hugely missing its mark.

I must say back when the early development was announced I got super excited for Clash and suspected it very well might be the best thing to happen to league since forever. It really was designed to be a competitive game mode (fitting an e sport title that is League) with 4,8,16 team brackets across a weekend, effectively destined to crown a champion from 512 teams. Then the server issues with simultaneous start of an immense amount of games forced a workaround and the 8 team single brackets became a thing. Competitive aspect took a hit but currently it seem to be neglected completely.

Clash seems like a huge waste of opportunity for a great game mode. Instead of competitive games with a sense of stake and importance, we got ourselves some normal drafts with a bracket.

Since trophies get deleted anyway (sic!) winning the whole thing means literally nothing. For hextech and beta cups we at least got the purple icon / sword icon if we won it, which was tiny but it was something, a memorabilia reflecting our win. Clash should cultivate competition and be about winning. Currently, as a reward we got bunch of real money unlockables (which I couldn't care for any less, also you shouldn't be able to buy what winning feels like [imagine Victorious skins for 975 RP - what would be the point]). Finally for Demacia Cup, with the sloppy decision of making the Demacia Clash Icon a participation one we have nothing that reflects the actual win. Not the smallest piece of content. Last hope in that regard could potentially be Banners obtained via Victory Points, but with Premium Tickets accelerating gains, those mean as much as Ranked Tiers would, if shop had LP Boosts to buy for RP.

I would really love clash if there was a purely competitive stake to it, which is missing. What about you guys?
