Dominon was the only place to test your build in a mostly realistic accelerated leveling environment

Now people like me will be testing games in the much longer game mode, which will overwhelmingly hurt the gameplay enjoyment of a LOT of other players.

Also... Dominon had something unique that SR never did... which was that because the community WAS small... you would repeatedly get put in games with the same players (Especially late at night) sometimes on the same team, and sometimes against it each other.

It was a uniquely enjoyable experience to LoL.

Dominion doesnt need to be balanced. Just make it an accelerated mirror of SR in a sandboxy environment. Thats all it needs to be.

I cant imagine it cost more to keep than it will in players lost by removing it.

I enjoyed testing builds on Dominion. Because you know, on SR you have to somehow SURVIVE the lane phase with something like AP Varus, and if you just playing it first time you dont even know is it your fault you fail or this build just terrible.

Also dominion is a great break from ranked frustrations.
