Before we start i would like to say that i have started to really want to play and main bard so if someone could gift me i'd appreciate it. I was wondering about bard,a highly underrated champ with a large learning curve, and found a few things that could make him a good top laner. As a sup bard u will have to leave your ADC behind to gank other lanes although in solo lanes this isn't a problem. Secondly i would like to point out how bard actually does good damage if you build the right items. So i want to hear your opinion on the matter.

Most supports can be taken to other roles. I like to play Alistar top/jungle (though ap cow can be fun in the midlane) since hes very good at surviving lane and becomes a split push monster (serious waveclear on a tank) who is also a top tier engager. I don't see why you couldn't throw bard in the top lane.

As long as you have decent success with it, go for it. I like Taric top lane and usally win lane fairly easily with him. The only matchup I've lost since his Q change is Darius. Just be ready for people dodging because it does happen quite often when I go Taric top. The last game I played with him, there were 2 dodges in a row before I finally got into game and this was the result of that specific game.

Yes, go for it! Bully your opponent early but keep an eye on the minimap - and ward properly! You can push in and pressure the map a lot (while also scaling very well while being able to build either attackspeed or bruiser). Your job is to pressure without dying so I suggest to always have an escape plan (as in: you know that you warded at that place so when the jungler comes from the other place you use your E to escape).

Also keep in mind that you don't want to be some kind of frontline, use your ultimate to either set your team up for an engage or use it to disengage (eg: use it on the backline of the enemy and crush their frontline - then turn for the backline).

I tried to make Bard work as some kind of a better Teemo but as I haven't had much time recently I couldn't get to practise it while also not decaying my Riven skill..
