my thoughts about the ranked system are rigged and unfair. I just won 5 in a row lost once and half of the LP i earned got destroyed by one loss. And It bothers me because people work hard and try their best in ranked through all the trolls and feeders and get absolutely nothing from it. Riot has a lot of things to fix including champions for nerfs and buffs and banning systems. Riot looks very lightly upon people whom troll and afk and they just get away with it because it is their first game trolling or their first game afking. Their should be VERY CLEAR WARNINGS when you afk in ranked you get punished when you troll you get punished tired of seeing all these people go unpunished because they think it is hilarious to see someones rank get completely obliterated. Riot Games Fix the only game you have and make it a game worth playing again.

My problem with the ranking system is that it's an 'elo system', which was designed for 1v1 chess matches. By implementing a win/lose cycle for 5v5, it's no longer about an individual players ability, but as 5 people's ability to play, vs 5 other people. Elo in LoL is terribly skewed and does not reflect an individual players ability.

I would say that an elo system is acceptable for 5man premades, since a proper team should be be reflected as a single, cohesive unit, but in solo queue the elo system is just cruel. Five strangers are expected to operate and be judged on a ranking scale the exact same as 5 people who train and practice together and know each other? It's bullshit.

Just a point here, there's no way you won 5 games and then lost one for half the lp you gained unless you don't belong in the elo you're in. Aka, if you're gaining 12lp and losing 25 it's because you are sitting in a much higher league than your mmr reflects. I've personally never had this issue. The worst I've ever gone is gaining 17-18 and losing 20-21. And that's because I went on a like 20 game losing streak. It eventually evened itself out.

As for afking/trolling, the only way to defeat these people is by reporting them. I know I've accidentally dc'd in a game (computer restarted) and I got an afk warning AND a time punishment on my queues, for ONE infraction and I had reconnected to the game and played it out. So I'm not sure where you say people aren't getting punished, I know I personally did.

I understand your frustration with ranked, everyone gets frustrated with it at some point. But don't just go blaming the system. No it's not perfect, but I think it's pretty fair for what it is.
