Major rebalancing idea
Hi there. I have an idea for a major change regarding game balance.
It is too big and intrusive that I'd expect it to be implemented, but I would like to share my thoughts and love to hear yours.
Season 7 was my favourite season so far regarding game balance and I am quite happy about how riot have evolved over the years, inlcuding the way that the patchlog is giving feedback to us players. What I observed during the last year was that Riot worked hard on redefining the roles of tank, adc(marksman), asassin and support by the addition of Gargoyle Stoneplate, lethality, healing/shielding power, new active items and all those vision changes.
Core Idea: Change Crit from being an adc stat towards being a stat for mages and asassins, in order to significantly lower adc damage towards squishy targets and to further distinguish ad-carries from asassins.
Implementation vaguely outlined
- Change critical damage so that spell damage crits, not autohits.
- Remove critical damage from Zeal
and replace it with unnamed unique percentage health damage(allows stacking but punishes 1-item-stacking) - Remove critical damage percentage from Infinity edge
and replace it with some cool adc stat( Maybe range per level or +5 movementspeed onhit stacking up to 10 times?) - Remove critical damage from essence reaver
and make it refund Mana as a percentage of damage dealt to champions. - Slightly increase attackspeed cap, maybe by 0.5 attacks per second
- Put 20% critical strike chance on the needlessly large Rod
and 30% on every item that is built from it, lower the ap on these items accordingly to keep their power level. - Add 20% critical strike chance to serrated dirk
and 30% critical strike chance to all items built from it. Like with the large rod adjust its other stats so that the gold price doesn't have to be changed
forecasted effects
- Balance chaos due to too invasive changes
- Higher threat towards adcs from mages and asassins
- Higher focus of adc itemization towards tanks
- lower threat from adcs towards squishy characters
- balance issues around yasuo and Jhin
