Bronze Players

So when I played ranked match's (solo) I used to run my mouth and get in trouble. Now when I play I just mute everyone even the enemy so I don't get myself in trouble. Now its even harder to get out of bronze because it seems that I get 2-3 trolls every game who feed or just plain afk or leave. I'm trying to do better my scores are almost always positive but my team it always seems to have unskilled players or trolls every game. I got so fed up last night as my main Volibear (jungle) my score was 8/6/24 and nobody on my team had a positive score but me and they just kept feeding. So I literally left the game for the first time. I am completely sick of ranked games going this way. I shouldn't have to be stuck in bronze forever. Help me before I make a final decision and say bye bye to all the money I put in for skins. It's to the point where I really don't give a hoot. What do I do? Please help.

If you are having trouble getting out of bronze, you belong there (or mayyybe low silver depending on where in bronze you are).

If you truly think it's your teammates that are the problem, that's a good example of cognitive bias. You notice them more when they do poorly, and notice them less when they carry you.

In the average game, your teammates will be just as good as your opponents, with the main variable being you--if you are better, you will win more often and climb. If you are not, you won't.

I totally agree with you OP. Even once you are good enough to move on from bronze the amount of anchors that exist to drag you down keep you there much longer than you should be. Somehow I went up to bronze 3 but then a disconnect out of the blue and some bad teams in a row brought me right back down. Everyone who's moved past bronze thinks because they don't have to deal with this it doesn't exist.

The obvious solution would be a ranking system based on performance and not just wins or losses. There is no way to differentiate between someone who is actually skilled and someone who deserves to be in bronze 5 on the losing team, under the current system.

Well, you might want to start by buying machete, upgrading it, then upgrading it again. Good stats as a tank and boosts gold from farming to somewhat pay a part of the cost.

Decision making is important, it starts with the decisions you make at champion select, to the decisions you make through what skills you level, to what items you buy and how you respond through out the game.
