What is with the recent Ekko bans?

Alright so in the last 10 normal games ive played ekko has been banned, even when I ask him to not be since I play him and enjoy doing so. What is causing people to want to ban him all of a sudden? Other than the trolls who think its funny when in reality it can and will impact the game but oh well. He's not broken by an means, landing his w and ulti are a pain sometimes, he has really good ganks and an AP/Tank build suits him well. Is it his recent action in worlds? It's literally just been within the last week that he's started getting banned consistently

LOL I can't imagine people banning Ekko now and days unless you know the other player and know their best champ is Ekko.

question 1: what rank are you?

question 2: how many games do you see that have unusual bans?(besides ekko)

question 3: if there has ever been and ekko in the game did he carry the game?

possible answer 1: maybe the people that are banning him are playing champion that has a hard time against an ekko?

possible answer 2: maybe you just ran into an unlucky assortment of matches where someone previously played against an ekko and thought the ban was necessary

possible answer 3: maybe trolling/too low too understand ekko's mechs? this answer will be marked out if your a high enough rank

Why do you act like you are some god ranked player in your statements lol. The was this is worded is so painful "Silver 5 Pro over here thinking Ekko Mechanics are to hard to learn for Bronzies."

i don't act like anything. i provided only possibilities if you don't agree with them that's up to you. it's an opinion for a reason. provide your own thoughts to what could be a viable reason for why he's a worthwhile ban.

I personally ban some champions because they are an Achilles heel of mine. Champions like Vayne always seem to be 5/0 on the enemy team, and 0/5 on mine. It has nothing to do with my personal skill or rank. Just a fact I lose to the champion more then its worth to leave her open.

You probably dont care but this person is level 23 so the bans are probably pretty wonky, but damn those pro silvers tearing up the game.

Yeah rank is currently NA for me. Though I'm actually lov 26 now :) I'm jumping pretty quickly. And to Trimead's third question. Yes and the carry was me. In fact I just finished a game where I went 18/3/13 with Ekko. But this is in normals, not in ranked

Congrats dude. Don't get discouraged at level 30. My personal experience was from winning a lot to getting stomped.
