Season 7 worries to Riot

This force meta shifting is what is killing league. How are people going to play ADC or mages if we get bursted down? I think assassins already had a niche spot, high risk=high reward game play, where you have to be proactive on the map to have any real impact. And as a person who plays glass cannon champs I can respect that. But now after reading, and seeing the new rework hearing what other people's (youtube) talk about it seems like Riot wants us to have more of a snowbally games. I know in the beginning this is going to be completely broken and then nerfs will come but it would be too late to balance. Riot has this horrible track record of making things super broken then gutting them into the ground (Raka, Kindred,Kog, Lulu, Olaf, Sivir and more) Whats the point of buffing champs so you can bring them back into the meta only to gut them after people start maining them and have a good win rate? How can Riot insure that other champs like Jinx, Sona, Raka, Nami, Lux, Anivia or other immobile champs won't be forced out of the meta because they have no escape tools from assassins and basically sitting ducks? As a person whom been playing for years and seeing what happens when you buff these high damage champs it only makes people play tanks in every role, tank top, tank support, defensive ADC like sivir and a CC mage, which leads to a very boring lane phase, and overall game play. I know Riot won't change what's to come since it seems Riot likes to listen to people only when they see their player count drop, so I just want to ask why do they always do this every season? Make a huge-changing buff only to see it blow up in their face, remember item 3071 changes Riot??? Also why do you keep making these big changes and not just letting the player base make the meta? why are you guys always trying to change the meta the way you guys want? Thanks for hearing me out.

One of the reasons why league is doing as well as it is is because of the meta shifts

Nothing is killing league at all, league semis still growing at 62million unique accounts is nothing to be sneezed at it's the biggest game in the history of gaming and has been this was for 5years Where is your "killing league" assumption and data?

And assassins now have an extended burst window making them less burst than now so I think youve read the changes wrong or don't understand them, no offense meant.

They aren't just buffing assassins. One of the major points of the rework was to extend burst windows so assassins don't kill you without even having time to react.

The game has changed towards encouraging different roles every season, sometimes twice a season.

IDK if it's right or wrong, good or bad, but it happens, the meta is changed by game changes at least one a year.

In season 3 adc's solo'd mid and you could build full adc crit builds on GP and even Fiora when she came out. The game was weird by today's comparison, and today's game is weird compared to back then, and every period in between.

Tanks never used to threats like they are now (juggernauts, brawlers, whatever you want to call them) but now we're used to it.

ADC's have risen and fallen almost with every other update, for a period last year they were almost useless, this assassin rework might just dump ADC's again for a while. Honestly ADC's have been getting consistent buffs to their gameplay over the last year, so this new increased threat is not a surprise.

I've been playing since season 3, and I've been a slow learner to the games finer, and not even that finer points, but to me it seems like Riot is trying to mold the game more towards teamwork and cooperative champ mechanics. Changes over the last couple years have enforced that:
  1. You have to build your champ properly according to both team comps and match situations. (season 3/4 change)
  2. Someone needs to watch carries to peel if necessary. (Season 4)
  3. The enemy frontline is a threat to your backline. (Season 5/6)
  4. If you try to just CC enemy carries, their non-carries can kill you. (Season 6)
  5. ADC's need to be able to take down frontline champs ASAP (Season 6)
  6. Carries have to build and change tactics based on enemy assassins (Season 6/7)
  7. Games can turn on the drop of a dime simply from team attitudes and game focus. (Season of the comebacks from nowhere 6)
  8. Team positioning in fights and at objectives is going to be super important (season 7)
  9. Riot hates me, (Season 1-forever)

You need to pay closer attention. Riot doesn't force metas and these assassin updates have literally nothing to do with making them stronger, especially not making them stronger so they get played more. These changes are to make them take more time to kill targets but have more tools and more uniqueness and be less feast or famine when doing so. If anything you should have a much easier and less frustrating time against even fed versions of these updated assassins now since they don't have the option of instantly killing you before you can react anymore.
